Controller Buttons Display

I'm using an 8BitDo SF30 Pro to play God of War. Is it possible to make God of War display Nintendo Switch Pro controller buttons instead of XBox's?

If that isn't possible, is there any way to force the display of Playstation buttons instead, even if I'm using another controller? XBox's buttons are really unintuitive for me.

Thanks for the link, but that doesn't affect the button display on screen. My controller is working well. That problem is that my SNES controller has this layout:

Y A
. B

While the Xbox controller has this layout:

. Y
X B
. A

i'm looking for a solution with nintendo layout as well.
can't stand the spineless cowardice sony bullshait enforcing X as confirm.

need to texture swap Y & X, hopefully replace shoulder buttons with L/ZL/R/ZR etc as well.

The game was designed only for Xbox and PS controller inputs only. If you want proper button inputs get an Xbox or PS pad. The devs I doubt are going to bend backwards for other controller types.

those button inputs are not "proper" to some people, especially to people gaming since 1990s on SNES/ Asian PS1-4/ DS/ Switch etc.

The team at CD Projekt Red believe the most effective way to prevent illegal downloads is to convince pirates that your product is too good to be stolen.
last time i checked on demo, cant even remap controller buttons, ridiculous.

i don't really expect much from sony, bunch of spineless cowards licking american boots and spit on their homecountry.

Every PC game will natively support XBOX controllers always cos Windows and XBOX are owned by Microsoft and native support is built in. Only the PS games ported to PC will have PS button prompt support.

BTW I have grown up playing Nintendos from the 80s but times have changed and they are no longer in the PC gaming market space and they never will be involved. You can vent your anger and frustration all you want but the situation isnt going to change.

Move with the times and use the approved controllers or use your pad on Nintendo hardware and play games on it.

even in xbox era, examples which don't enforce xbox or don't natively support xbox controller:
GTA SA, PES 2007, Saints Row 2, Dynasty Warriors 7 (2011)

witcher 3, modern ubiscum games, tomb raider, even indies such as Hades...

"use your pad on Nintendo hardware" lol, how clueless you are yet try to act smart.
for modern PC games, if not natively supported, via Steam Config or DS4Windows work perfectly fine except rare games which disallow remap.
for older pc games, since its direct input its good. Direct input is less restricted compared to x-input.

even if without Nintendo UI, many other PC games let us remap buttons, we can invert ABXY within the games.
remap is a basic pc feature, which GoW lacks of.

"approved controllers" lmfao, what an excuse to monopolise.
puppets would let MS dictate how they play games, but i'm not one of those puppets.

recent years on PC i always play in remapped YXBA, Nintendo layout, or Asian-PS (sometimes provided by devs & sometimes mods).
non-approved controllers give me extra features such as extra button-bindings & gyro aiming.

FYI... the PS4 version even had only limited button remapping and switching between default and classic (to mimic older GOW games where the face buttons are for attacks). Yet everyone played with the available control options and enjoyed the game which eventually won GOTY in 2018.

You say that I am clueless about PC gaming and since you seem to know a lot judging by your cocky arrogant attitude, its funny that you are the one having issues with the game by continuing to nitpick on something that can very well be adapted to, with an open mind instead of acting stubborn.

i don't have a ps4 version to comment, and i never said its a crappy game,
i'm only commenting on PC standard.

3rd party controllers, 8BitDo Pro 2 & Nacon Unlimited are arguably better controllers, more button bindings are great for complicating action games.
with "non-approved" software, you can even activate gyro-aiming.
