Don't play on "Give me God of War"
It will ruin all your game experience if you don't have 1000 hours in dark souls
I personally always choose to play in hardest difficulty but here it is just lame, you have to hit common enemies like 10 times to kill but they need only 3
A couple of mistakes and you are dead
Just go on 3rd difficulty, it's pretty hard but playable and I'm enjoying it now

Anyone that wants to experience God of War in its best form should play Give Me God of War in the first playthrough and only play GMGOW difficulty. Don't worry about what OP said because OP doesn't know what he is talking about and the game is different from Dark Souls despite the developers tried to capture the combat flow of that game. Here's my tutorial that aims to provide some help for new players:

I found GMGOW from the beginning to be perfect, because any difficulty becomes easier over time, whether through levels, gear or both. So the hardest difficulty actually has a difficulty curve that lasts much longer throughout the game, but eventually even that becomes too easy.

my only compain with GMGOW difficulty is the unnecessary long fight of the final valkyrie. otherwise, it satiates my need for non "baby" difficulty mode.

It's okay, I played Devil May Cry 3 before the Special Edition difficulty nerf

Yes guys, Kratos is a weak ♥♥♥♥♥, he can't take a hit from the enemy but he must hit 10 times to break some old Draugr's bones
Such fun to play

3rd difficulty isnt a baby mode, it's just perfect
"GMGOW" is just badly balanced to increase walkthrough time that's all
I mean it would be ok if Kratos die after 3 hits but the enemies must do the same

"Baby mode" vs "the true experience" of GoW... These types of threads seem to devolve into silliness quickly, the simple answer is to just play on the difficulty that is most comfortable and gives you the most fun. This game has an adjustable difficulty setting, so start where you're comfortable and raise it when you want more of a challenge. There's no "baby mode" or "true experience" mode as some others would suggest, rather the narrative is the same across the board but can be experienced at varying degrees of difficulty. Most of this thread is just people with bizarrely overwrought opinions about how others should enjoy a game.

Yeah here finally comes the guy with the opinion that 'everyone else stupid but I'm the only one who sees the truth' and 'there's no good or bad, no right or wrong and if you feel better you are fine'. Well, if so, then why are you shouting out your opinions in the public and trying to gain support from other people? Quitting and keeping everything to yourself is most comfortable for you anyway :steammocking:

With GMGOW you cannot change difficulty so thats only for the ones who really know what they are getting into and are prepared to rough it out. The other 3 you can go back and forth to suit your comfort level.

Are you talking to me? Happy to reply to that but it's also a bit unclear.

Didn't realize that, but thanks for letting me know. I'm about to do another playthrough and was thinking about trying gmgow out, not sure if I'm going to want to plow through it though on some of the longer fights. We'll see how it goes haha.

totally agree with you, but I think that GMGOW on NG+ is just perfect because 3rd difficulty can't give you a challenge anymore.
but on NG0 GMGOW is not even fun, I tried it after beating NG0 on 3rd difficulty and NG+ on GMGOW - it was complete disaster, I dropped it without even fighting with Baldur.

agree

many elitists somehow enjoy dying 100times before they reach new area, whats worse they wont even get achievement for beaten gmgow xD

We dont need an achievement to play on the hardest difficulty. We do it for the challenge. So what if we die a lot, it makes us better at the game.

If you want to play on story difficulty and unlock all the achievements, thats fine. No one is forcing anyone to play on GMGOW only.

I have only played the game on GMGOW difficulty and nothing below btw. Say what you want... it dont matter to me as I have everything in the game unlocked.
