Also, Crests of Surtr are an incredibly rare resource with a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ way of getting obtained, as opposed to it's Niflheim counterpart - Aersbane, which is already a ♥♥♥♥♥ to get.
if you're only looking for the most useful set of armour, go for any of the Niflheim ones or for the Valkyrie armour. Muspel armour is not as good as either of them, but it does have some cool effects
Edit: Wow, steam censors the word b.i.t.c.h. now? jeez
I improved everything and if I'm not mistaken, there were 5 gameplays. I played them all whenever possible focusing on Luck and even then at the end of the fifth, there was a lot of farm.
I think it's very difficult to happen in 4 gameplays, but not impossible.
Possibly we will have someone saying that they managed to improve everything in 2.5 gameplays, but from my experience in the game this is only possible if there is use of glitches like "return to last checkpoint".
In Muspelheim, there are ten trials to complete before you can face the Valkyrie Gondul. Of course, she can be a wall for some players, but once you got her down, there is new repeatable content available: Completing 3 of 5 "impossible trials" gives you one go at one of the three gold challenges. And those gold challenges are the only way to obtain the Crest of Surtr resource. All of this gives plenty of basic embers.
Now back to the problem - it should be well possible to complete all Niefelheim content and/or to defeat Gondul without a maxed out set of Ivaldi's armor. On gmgow+ difficulty, things might get a bit tougher, but even then there should be many viable armor options to get that done. E.g. I finished Niefelheim with only two pieces of Ivaldi's light armor, and it is fun to test various armor combos when dancing with our winged friends. Hope that helps, don't give up and have fun :)
(obviously best way is : dont do muspelheim at first go to niffelheim ->grind ivaldi armor-> than go to muspleheim kill everything on chalenges coz you are beefed up. Than dont spend anything on muspleheim stuff and just complete niffelheim sets. But as i said i already spend those (before valkory ) recouces.)
Means: You can repeat the five impossible trials and the three gold challenges as many times as you like.
I guess you cant seem to let go can ya....
If its built into the game and it saves time... ofc its a usable option. Anyways that applies only to hacksilver and skap slag. But when it comes to grinding Niflheim and Muspelheim there are no shortcuts and I have put in the hard yards for that and surprisingly you seem to ignore that though.
It took me a total of 21 gold rank runs of Muspelheim trial 6 (12 times on NG and 9 on NG+) to have the required smoldering ember and enough crest of surtr for all armor and pommel upgrades.
Doing multiple playthroughs to grind hacksilver results in you having to sell off unwanted resources which hardly return anything in hacksilver and grinding Niflheim and Muspelheim more than you need results in you having excess of echoes and stuff which you cant even sell. Take your pick.
I just decided to do it in a more efficient way where I had the least wastage in resources.
Echoes can be "exchanged" for Hacksilver just buy the "Perfect Artifact of the Blight" enchantment for 750 Echoes and sell it for 1850 Hacksilver + 25 Enchanted Dust.
Eu não usei os "glitches de farm", mas reconheço que ajudariam muito.
When you have over 100k echoes this seems too tedious...
