Armor and Weapon levels

Hi, I am at level 7. Killed 8 Valkyries and closed all three realm tears in Niflheim. How to reach level 8 and upgrade the Blades of Chaos to level 5? Currently, I can only damage the health of the Valkyrie Queen by about 1/4 with two rages. So I need to upgrade my level first?

Whenever I go to Armor or Weapon, I am presented with a list of items. Most of them are below my level. Is it better to choose those at my level, even the attributes may not be what I want, rather than levels below?

You can reach Lv 9 of character in the first gameplay, just follow the steps below that is guaranteed:

Weapons tab:
- Axe: Lv 6;
- Blades: Lv 5. As you defeated the 8 Valkyries, this includes the one from Muspelheim (Gondul), check your inventory because it should contain the item "Raging Inferno of Muspelheim", go to any shop, and exchange it for "Chaos Flame", and with it upgrade your Blades;
- Bow: See if you have acquired all the upgrades for both the quiver and the bow;
- Pommels: Choose one of each weapon and upgrade both to Lv 8. To avoid spending resources on one that doesn't reach Lv 8, try to focus on Epics (yellow);
- Runic Attacks/Summons: Make sure the ones you use are at Lv 3.

Armor tab:
- Armor: You probably have one of the Ivaldi's set, choose to improve it or the Valkyries set, or even a mix between them, but the ideal would be to have each piece of armor at Lv 8;
- Talisman: If you want to reach Lv 9 of character, upgrade to the maximum the following talismans "Aegir's Protection" or "Shattered Gauntlet of Ages".
- Enchantment: You can mix the ones that contain the best stats/effects, but in some situations, simply equipping the ones with the highest level will get you up to LV 9 in the first gameplay.

Having the character at Lv 9 makes Sigrun's health bar blue, making the fight a little easier.

Thank you. For Weapons:

- Axe is at Level 5 with Strength 70. How to reach Level 6?
- I have "Raging Inferno of Muspelheim". How to exchange? I can only sell or buy.
- Talon Bow is at Level 3. Son is wearing Legendary Sharpshooter Grab. I unlocked Best Dressed for son. Does that mean I have acquired all the upgrades for both the quiver and the bow?
- Pommels: Axe has Surtr's Grip of Flame at Level 8 and the other has Grips of the Valkyrie at Level 8
- Runic Summon: Wrath of the Wolf Level 3

If you opened all the chests in the central chamber in Niflheim, you would have obtained an item called "Chilling Mist of Niflheim". Go to a shop and open the "Buy" menu and there you can go to Resources and you can purchase a Frozen Flame to get the last axe upgrade.

Do the same thing with the Raging Inferno of Muspelheim to buy a Chaos Flame for the last blades upgrade.

Talon Bow goes up to lvl 6 and talon quiver goes up to lvl 4.

For your axe, use the forbidden grip of ages. If you havent obtained that you should definitely go and get it.

For talisman you can use talisman of the realms. While you will not reach lvl 9, the realm shift power is something you simply cannot ignore.

Unfortunately I don't have any first gameplay saves that I can take on Sigrun to test this build, but as I recall, I found it easier when I upgraded my character to Lv 9 than any other build I tried at Lv 8.

So I wouldn't advise using "Talisman of the Realms", ok he is Lv 8, has good attributes, and an excellent active skill, but if the build is not focused on cooldown, during the fight against Sigrun what would you use this skill? About 6 times?
Between using this 6x (or more), I prefer to have a constant benefit throughout the fight, which would be to take less damage and deal more damage just because I have a Lv 9 character. As I said, I couldn't test it now, but I had this impression when I defeated her for the first time with a Lv 9 character, after trying a lot with a Lv 8 character.

I could even say something about the "Forbidden Grip of the Ages", because it's a Lv 5 equipment, but it's possible to build a Lv 9 character using it. So as far as I've tested, it's not possible to reach Lv 9 without using the talismans: "Aegir's Protection" or "Shattered Gauntlet of Ages".

You dont have to be lvl 9 to defeat Sigrun to begin with. I was at lvl 8 when I took her down. I used the Valkyrie armor which has all round good stats coupled with some of the good enchantments and talisman of realms.

I didn't say that it's mandatory to be at Lv 9 to defeat her, even because there are several videos on the internet of players defeating her with Lv 1 character in GMGoW and if I'm not mistaken, some even in NG+.
I just said that I had the impression that it was easier to defeat her with a Lv 9 character, than a Lv 8 character.

OK. Here is the latest update on Weapons:

- Axe is at LVL 6.
- I am using Surtr's Gripof Flame at LVL 8. I just got "forbidden grip of ages" but it is at LVL3. Shall I switch to it?
- Blades: LVL 5
- Pommels: Axe has Sutr's Grip of Flame at LVL 8 and the other has Grips of the Valkyrie at Level 8
- Runic Attacks/Summons: Wrath of the Wolf LVL 3.

How to level Talon Bow to lvl 6 and talon quiver to lvl 4?
