Spoilers man, a lot of them know him only by The Stranger.... don't give away the plot of Kratos fighting in a Mixed Martial Arts champion to be the very best, like no one ever was. To fight him was his real test, to subdue him was his cause...

He is supposed to sound like that, kinda whiny voice. I think you more hate the character himself than the guy doing the voice, cus he just did what the game directors want. Kinda like an actor who is evil in a film, you hate the guy because he did what the director wanted.
I thought the exact opposite.
