you're very welcome, this is a great platform really, maybe one day i'll make an account for epic to get the alan wake sequel or something
In my case EGS is on dollars, but steam is on euros
Well thats good actually why not, i have a little bit some games on steam some on epic, but for this one i just wanted to see what is better option cause this game is special we can say :)
Steam should be ashamed for charging nearly 3 times as much vs Epic Store on same sale.
If you don't care about Steamworks, cloud save backup etc. buy games at cheapest place.
But know this. Most games on Epic do NOT support cloud save.
If you re-install Windows and forget to backup Epic saves from User and Documents folders, you lose your saves.
Also. Steam is way faster and responsive and uses way less RAM than the feature lacking Epic store.
If Epic launcher weren't based on tech from 30 years ago, it would make more sense to use it. You can't even start games on Epic every time server is overloaded or is down for maintenance which it frequently is.
I'm still wondering if a 5 year old kid programmed Epic Launcher.
Right right, well i will see, thank you for answering friend :)
What's your definition for "a lot of games"? And how many of them have you actually bought (and not received for free)?
Personally, I really don't have anything against the Epic store. I just don't care about it at all, and I don't have an account there. When I boot up my PC, steam is automatically there. It's where I find most of my offline friends and my gamer-RL friends to chat with, coop play, watching them play, so Steam for me is always on. You could say, Steam is "social media" for me. I have 90% of my games on Steam and out of convenience, I would prefer all my games to be on Steam. Sure I got Ubisoft Connect and Origin too, but only buy games there when they are not becoming available on Steam.
That's it for me. Epic has nothing that I need, so I stick with Steam. I don't need their free games because a) my pile of shame is a giant mountain by now, and b) if I really wanted those games, I would have bought them already before Epic tossing them around for free.
This however might be an attractive thing for kids and people with small income, or people from countries with high inflation. But for me? Nope, I like Steam, I want nothing else.
No problem my friend. :) Steam is the most reliable launcher of them all.
This week. It were impossible to start any installed games on EA launcher (Electronic Arts) for several hours. Why? Play button is disabled as it's connected to a server that's offline.
Yes, you read right. Play button only works when server is online.
It's as bad as Epic launcher.
If you want a reliable client, Steam is the choice. It always works and also works offline.
If you want backup of savegames... Use Steam.
It's amazing how fast Steam is considering it have "1000 more" features than other launchers. Steam is also superior on Library management and lots of other things.
GOG.com Galaxy 2.0. It's so slow you can go on a vacation before it scanned all your installed games. DRM Free games is pointless with this terrible slow launcher.
It's easy to see why so many refuse to buy games not released on Steam.
When that's said, Hitman 3 finally releases on Steam next week.
Steam (or valve) does not decide about the prices. The publishers/developers do. It's also exclusively their decision whether a game goes into a sale or not, how many % off, all that.
Duckrotation: Wrong.
Believe it or not, but IMDB.com forums were so toxic that they shut down the forums forever.
Steam forums is actually less toxic than IMDB forums ever were.
80% of IMDB postings were toxic person attacks on any movie and TV Series.
Steam forums is not even close to that.
I said Galaxy 2.0. It scans all your Steam, Epic, UBI and EA games too. Those are not DRM free.
