Since this is a recurring conversation, I'll be merging all threads regarding DUALSHOCK and DUALSENSE controllers here.

Will this game have button prompts dependant on your controller?

I haven't seen any videos to indicate if the button prompts will show depending on your controller type (Xbox, PS or M/KB). Anyone know if the button prompts will match your input type?

It definitely does. But whether it is able to distinguish PS and XBOX controllers is meant to be seen... I havent seen any video of PC gameplay with someone using an xbox controller.

I have an xbox controller so I will only know tomorrow on release how the button prompts look like

i've honestly gotten used to controller differences

A is on the right for my nintendo switch pro controller

on the bottom for my xbox one windows controller

and i remember the PS layout from long ago

Yes, it will have all button prompts like every other Playstation published game on PC because Playstation doesn't d*ck us around like Microsofts petty attempts to monopolize the PC market and coerce you into exclusively using their sh*tty controllers.

it is, I watched a video showed RB and LB button, it is gonna shows XBox button too, but meh, I still gonna use my DualSense controller

Had a browse on youtube for a few different PC gameplay clips and yes, looks like it will have button prompts based on your input type. I saw both Xbox, PS and M/KB prompts, so that's good.

I dont have any issue with XBOX controllers and thats what I have been using for playing games on PC with a controller... if you want to use a different pad by all means go ahead but I am least interested in your fanboyistic bias for PS over XBOX.

I saw a YouTube review where he was playing with an xbox controller and it indeed showed xbox button prompts.

I noticed a bug with the Xbox controller inputs on screen... the prompts for Spartan Rage show L3 + R3 but these are PS prompts... its supposed to be LS + RS

If you want to use a different pad thats your choice and I have no issues with it. But calling out something else as garbage just because you don't like or use it is uncalled for. I don't have a PS pad and didn't see a compelling reason to buy one for PC just cos of PS ports coming on PC when my current one should work just fine.

Moreover I never made any statement hating on a Dualshock or Dualsense controller and if people want to use them on PC, thats fine with me. You are putting words in my mouth out of nowhere pal and you sounded biased to begin with...

In a lot of games you can directly choose which prompts you want (usually xbox one, xbox series, ps4, ps5, switch), I hope it will be the case here

That would be amazing, I've had a PS5 controller since the damn thing came out but haven't experienced that on PC yet. Is there any extra work involved in getting adaptive triggers setup in a game or is it as simple as just connecting a PS5 controller and loading the game up?
