I for example want a blood patch to change the atmosphere to something closer to the older titles, almost everybody wants a FOV mod and people with 32:9 screens certainly want support for that. Some want a more immersive hud others huge damage numbers above enemies heads. At the latest when newer hardware comes around a ton of people will want to play with graphical mods that push visuals beyond ultra.
IMO, I would finish the game in it's base version first and use mods in New Game+.
what some want as mods are basic options that the dev needs to provide. granted, fov and such is needed. but we should demand a patch and not a mod for that.
i was more talking about game changing mods, like more enemies and such...and that is ok for later and not for day one basically... i like to play it the intended way first. well if it works, cause the remapping of the buttons should be a given, since you can map the whole kb too...

It still shows the SIE & SMS logos at the beginning but it at least gets rid of the video that plays.
