lol putting everyone down as skill issue caue you were able to do it - the part you are forgetting is - SONY has already taken our money - this is not pay to win so why make it sooo difficult ---- if you actually want people to have fun - we have a life outside this virtual world - cant just keep on grinding for best armours through realms and after that the queen - it is fun to a certain limit - but cant keep going for hours - days - months - anyways - GOD bless - my views though - I am confused cause SONY is not getting anything extra and neither are we - so why such technicalities - just let people defeat the boss and move on - we already have NG+ mode for fun - is that not enough...
Not everything is made for your personal taste. If something feels like a chore to play to you personally play something else. Valkyrie Queen is optional content for people who like going the extra mile with the game, that is clearly not something you like so move on and play something more to your taste.
It's bizarre to me how often people these days start whining when not everything in the world is catered specifically to their taste, it's such a juvenile mentality to have.
Tried it out and I like the parries and timings of attacks, seem fair and fun to me. Especially I agree with block and parry being the same button.
But reading these talks on the valkyries puts me off because I don't like bossing, never did.
I figure I'll end up on those valkyries, having a bad time. And that in the end it'll just be those that matter if I kill or not.
Really enjoyed Odyssey. Lots of regulars to fight and those mercs come chasing. Fun times. But there I disagree with the two button parry. I also disagree with the skills because they trivialise fights and have me put myself in some kind of stun, not playing the game. Luckily, in Odyssey, there's a mod to make me do much more damage in exchange for being unable to use said skills.
That's an old game now though and I've discovered everything in it.
So I played Valhalla but there you have to use the skills. I didn't until a boss that's impossible without them. They're better implemented there though.
Sorry to stray a bit off-topic but there seems to be nothing out there for me currently. This game's focus seem to be bosses. And I don't in particular enjoy mythical creatures and magic either. Was so cool in Odyssey when I didn't even know there were magical creatures until late game. Yea, those were good times but it's done and over.
This game could've been something but.. I won't give it a chance, reading this. I'll just be disappointed up ahead when I put hours on end on bosses I don't want to do.
Is it an attitude problem? Sure. But what I really want is to kill a lot of regulars, parrying and making cool moves. I don't see this game giving me that so..
Ignore these super hard valkyries and their extra phqng death-hard queen if that is not your cup of tea, and it won´t affect your game at all. The game is worth playing!
First, all of the valkyries have different levels of difficulty. And with even only a little exploring, you could still find the tools to take them down. For killing one, you get various bits of armor or talismans and upgrade materials for their armor drops
Second, they are entirely optional. They have no importance to this game, and you'd only be somewhat confused when you saw them in Ragnarok. And their mechanics are very clearly shown to the player. If the player is unable to defeat them, that's not a dev issue, it's a player issue. Plain and simple. I myself find it difficult to fight them now because i'm on NG+++ at this point. But again, that's a me issue, not a dev issue
You also don't need to devote absurd amounts of time in finding and defeating them. So the notion that the working man has no chance to beat them is disingenuous. I myself am a working man and when I play this game, I make it a point to fight them because I want to challenge myself. If I can do it, you can too
I beat all of them so your "skill issue" high horse goes out of the window, I just still think they're poorly designed fights that are more frustrating than they are fun because they have cheap moves while Kratos is subject to too much randomness. It's actually really easy to make a game that's hard, it's not easy to make something tough but fair. If you want a skill based game, Dark Souls is a much better example because there's no randomness to it.
If the Valkyries were such great tests of skill, then really what they should have had is more elaborate parry sequences and the ability to say, pull a grapple reversal on them if you time it right.
Ok so why are you so desperate your point - hahaha - have some water bro and wipe your sweat - the day is bright and the sun is shining - GOD bless - peace
this dude slaps the valkyries like theyre things who get slapped
