The queen Sigrun like what the talking head said putting it lightly when saying she is the strongest of all the Valkyries. And that head speaks wisdom.
I play on normal mode, I encounter using rare armor and she beat the crap out of me. Killing me under a minute.
I went for legendary, and still kills me in one wing stab.
I go for epic, depleted 1/3 of her health and she does the stupid blind attack, step me to death and after good 4 hours, I give up and went to the mist area the get the deadly ash armor.
Challenge her again at level 7 and this time still kill me in matter of minutes. Almost begin to think there is no logical way to win like playing a Rubik's cube
Decided to go and gain more resources from Lava area and mist are. Upgrade to Level 8 armor.
Go back again this time still kick the daylight out of me to the point, Aterus has been orphan more times than I would rather count.
After 3 days of battling the impossible, the R3 pops up. I was so damn happy about it I literally command Kratos to run to when the ground is still burning. It feels so sastify when I saw Kratos rip the wings out of her.
And she declare she is still not the strongest. Dear lord.
I hate to think how we going to fight the Queen on GOW: Ragnarok
Well done bro, yeah sigrun is really hard. Imagine in god of war difficulty lmao, you cannot blink x)
1. Equip runes in your weapon, and then try to get your cool down as high as possible so you can use the runic attacks often in the fight.
2. Next, wear some sort of talisman that can slow down time ( I used Talisam of Realm shift).
3. Make sure you have the berserker resurrection stone.
4. Make sure you start the fight with maximum rage.
Learn Sigrun's attack patterns. Then during the fight, when you have the chance, chain your runic attacks, then slow down time and attack more. Sometimes after the slow time is finished, your light attack rune is ready, so dish more more runic attacks. Afterwards, activate Spartan rage and dish out more damage. At the end of Spartan rage, both the light and heavy rune attacks should be ready, then once again, chain those two attacks together. One cycle of those combos should take out a quarter of her health. In between the two dodges and those combos, you should be able to take down Sigrun. Also you should get close to her and user your shield often block and parry, and then chain the combos. You just need to be careful and block and evade properly in between. When you finally defeat her it is very satisfying to see the achivement notice!
She's perfectly doable and learnable. There is nothing wrong with her design no one is forcing you to do an optional superboss that is making you miserable.
And yet he's right. People get easily annoyed by whiners so it's no wonder some might react this way.
Sephiroth in kingdom hearts anyone?
I think i won vs him at some point but not sure, still was a good fight.
Man that was such a good boss fight, absolutely loved it. Even after I was done with the game I still put the game on from time to time just to beat that fight again. Ice Titan was pretty fun too.
Anyway optional bosses are cool.

Took it "slow" i.e. don't get greedy trying to deal damage
I would wait for the opening, activate the frost axe buff, hit her a couple times, hit the time slow, keep wailing on her, and then when she tried to do her next move I'd let her play out, then interrupt her with the light runic attack and go a few more times. By then the frost axe buff is running out, and I'd just survive until I could repeat the cycle.
Had the boy use the squirrel so I could get rage (lighting arrow mode) or health (light arrow mode) if I needed it. I hit the rage when I found myself in a rough spot.
Outside of the above, focused on dodging, getting 2-3 hits in, then backed off to see her next attack. Everything can be dodged or interrupted.
But taking it slow, managed to get her without needing to resurrect, just focused more on dodging/countering. Parrying her yellow attacks is critical as well, easy damage opportunity.
What I did is I used my heavy runes + Atrius's stun special in order to do as much damage as possible. I used the rage to either heal a bit or do a lot of damage by throwing rocks at her. It is a fight of patience, you can't out-damage her given her very high health.
Also always have a resurrection rune when fighting her, it will make the fight easier.
Muscle memory is why I'd argue they are badly designed fights. You aren't using wits to beat the boss, it's like cheesing Shao Kahn on the old school Mortal Kombat games. You learn muscle memory and just go on auto pilot. There are some people like GBG that trivialize the fight but even that for him is just insane muscle memory.
