Is there a reason why this game costs 50 bucks?

Is it because its a new game for PC they just decided to charge 50 for it and people will buy it? Console you can get it for 10. Charging almost full game price for a 3 year old game just because its out on a new platform is just dumb.

And why does a company care about consumers when they know they can get away with it? No seriously. As I said they know what they can get for it and if you were in their position and had a VERY well established consumer base, you know very well what you can tap into to test the waters on what will sell and what doesnt.

If the PC port didnt sell at $50 guess what.... they would lower the price or have a sale. If it sold well at $50 then just hold on.

Like you act like Call of Duty loses millions and millions of dollars for doing that.... some of their decade old games are still $40 dollars some even full price still. They dont really care if you ♥♥♥♥♥ and moan because they know they will double, triple, or even more than that of their costs.

You guys just keep lining up to 'boycott' things and they still sell well, so well that you guys are the ones who have to wait months if not years for it to fit your price.
I waited for God of War to come to the PC, the game to mean is worth its price I'm not going to go spend even more money to get a PS4 or PS5 just to pay another $20 on top of that cost JUST to play God of War.... its new to the PC, its an amazing game, its worth its price to me so I'm going to spend that amount. In retrospect it is either spend $250+ for a used console and then $20 for God of War or just $50 for God of War since I have a PC. THOSE are my options as a PC user right now to play the game.

Some of you guys just are so idealistic and naive to the world around you it just blows my mind sometimes. I dont even think they are taking advantage of anyone... ports are not cheap. It not $60, you get all the DLC skins that came with the game, you get better graphics, higher frame rates than what was possible on the consoles, and a plethora more in settings. Do you think it should just sell for its $20 tag that it currently sells for on PS with all those extra features and for it being the first time on PC... thats just silly, it sure as hell should be more than $30 I think and considering again your options are spending $250+ to play it on a console if you dont have that console or just $50 on PC I think the choice is obvious.

If you dont like it, then dont get it? Why are you guys trying to get the rest of us into YOUR politics on what YOU believe should be the price?

Yeah I hate it when a developer presses the "convert to PC" button on the keyboard and has the balls to charge us for zero work for a Copy/Paste job /s

You clearly have no idea regarding the work they had to put in to get this working on PC and adding in the ultrawide support, new controls, testing every area of the game multiple times to ensure what was supposed to be hidden off-screen remained hidden after they implemented ultrawide.

You can get the game discounted from key sites if you care enough.

I was able to get the game for $37, but still would've paid $50 for it had I not found that deal. The fact is it's been available on PS for 4 years and it just came to PC for the very first time ever, there's zero reason why they would or should only charge PC players $10. The game is worth the price,!

You mean like MOST single player story base games that have restricted modding?
You know like the 70% drop in playerbase that is expected on pretty much every single player game ever to release? And I'm not talking about the handful of ones that do.

Because porting a game to work on a different plethora of PC configurations costs money ya now ? It's not like porting the game will cost them no amount of effort , work and testing to make sure everything works correctly , at least in this case they seemingly made a good job , and there's not a sight of anti customer garbage being implemented , like denuvo.

Also, it's not like they're charging a full 50$ price just because they've changed a store like Hitman 3 apparently did, I've seen a fair amount of people complaining the game is like 10$ bucks for ps4, but guess what ? The game already sold millions there , PC is an untapped marked for them, It would be really stupid to sell it at a really low price, knowing a vast amount of people haven't experienced it yet.

Well, why I said what I said was because you aren't just buying a 4 year old game.
You are buying a game that is on par with today's released titles on top of having extra features, first time existing on the platform, was not a cheap port to do, and a plethora of other small things.

The options are to either get a Playstation 4 or 5 for over $200 and then buy God of War for $20 on the PS and play a game with locked 30 fps. No 4K. None of the pre-order bonuses or extra DLCs. No improvements to the graphics what so ever and a length list of more stuff ooooorrrrrr simply just spend $50.

If you don't think it is worth $50 I would just think that a more rational argument be had then 'people are sheep' because realistically thats a very sheep like comment since we are just ignoring everything about why the game is priced the way it is.

And no, your opinion matters nothing to me if we are being real.
I am honestly just baffled at how entitled people can get without understanding anything pass base value and I KNOW this sounds like insults but I really don't mean it as that so I apologize in advance. I just am kinda hopeful for more rational opinions overall instead of biased ones.
