Why wouldn't we be fine? The lowered cost of few year old games isn't done out of goodness of the heart of the company it's not done out "fairness" it's done to keep sales going for the older title. When it's released to a new platform and a new audience there's no reason to sell it at the same price as the old version is currently selling as the devs knows it will generate good sales with a less discounted price.
And here's the thing. If you want it for cheap. It's still available for cheap for the old platform. Or you could be patient and wait for the price to drop on this platform too or wait for a sale.
Gamers have this misconception that they are entitled to a cheaper price. They are not. They are entitled to a choice of being a customer or not. If you personally see that 50 is too much for a game you have already played that is fair and your have the reasonable option to not buy it at $50.

"A senior developer has revealed that the PC port of God of War was in development for at least two years."
There's more about it in the interview with the dev.
I was able to get the game for $37, but still would've paid $50 for it had I not found that deal. The fact is it's been available on PS for 4 years and it just came to PC for the very first time ever, there's zero reason why they would or should only charge PC players $10. The game is worth the price,!
I thought a business was in it for being a, you know, business?
Integrity means what to a company when it is about its market target?
If business worked the way you are implying it then most would have went out of business ages ago, actually that is exactly what happened and why we have the companies left doing what they normally do.
The idea isn't alien, it is just simply naive and idealistic.
If your argument was for a lesser known indie developer, that would make more sense.
And why does a company care about consumers when they know they can get away with it? No seriously. As I said they know what they can get for it and if you were in their position and had a VERY well established consumer base, you know very well what you can tap into to test the waters on what will sell and what doesnt.
If the PC port didnt sell at $50 guess what.... they would lower the price or have a sale. If it sold well at $50 then just hold on.
Like you act like Call of Duty loses millions and millions of dollars for doing that.... some of their decade old games are still $40 dollars some even full price still. They dont really care if you ♥♥♥♥♥ and moan because they know they will double, triple, or even more than that of their costs.
You guys just keep lining up to 'boycott' things and they still sell well, so well that you guys are the ones who have to wait months if not years for it to fit your price.
I waited for God of War to come to the PC, the game to mean is worth its price I'm not going to go spend even more money to get a PS4 or PS5 just to pay another $20 on top of that cost JUST to play God of War.... its new to the PC, its an amazing game, its worth its price to me so I'm going to spend that amount. In retrospect it is either spend $250+ for a used console and then $20 for God of War or just $50 for God of War since I have a PC. THOSE are my options as a PC user right now to play the game.
Some of you guys just are so idealistic and naive to the world around you it just blows my mind sometimes. I dont even think they are taking advantage of anyone... ports are not cheap. It not $60, you get all the DLC skins that came with the game, you get better graphics, higher frame rates than what was possible on the consoles, and a plethora more in settings. Do you think it should just sell for its $20 tag that it currently sells for on PS with all those extra features and for it being the first time on PC... thats just silly, it sure as hell should be more than $30 I think and considering again your options are spending $250+ to play it on a console if you dont have that console or just $50 on PC I think the choice is obvious.
If you dont like it, then dont get it? Why are you guys trying to get the rest of us into YOUR politics on what YOU believe should be the price?
Okay, go buy a PS4 or PS5 for $250+ and then spend the extra $20 to get God of War.
Let us know all the cool features you get in the original game vs the PC port.
I think you vastly misunderstood my point.
What reason is there for a 4 year old game to be sold at $20? Speaking of sheep did you really believe that these prices were lowered for your benefit? You think the companies were taking you into consideration you think they were being nice? Not they lowered to price to sell even more.
Umm... You missed that part when I said "Prove it ***by not just taking some mouth word*** for it." 😂🤣😂
Exactly...this game is so cheap on the PS, but people forget how much the console itself costs when $50 gets me the game I can play on my PC that I already own! I guess people just assume that everyone already owns a PS and that they should just buy it there after 4 years.
