Is there a reason why this game costs 50 bucks?
Is it because its a new game for PC they just decided to charge 50 for it and people will buy it? Console you can get it for 10. Charging almost full game price for a 3 year old game just because its out on a new platform is just dumb.

Contrary to your thoughts, its selling very well and to be fair it cost money to port it. Don't like the price wait for a sale.

I know that but the devs get paid by the hour. I wonder how much money they spent on labor costs porting it. I don't think they really NEED to have a 50 dollar price tag to it.

wait a month or few

This port took over 2 years to do. Be grateful they didn't slap a $70 price tag on it.

2-years?! Ha!

Prove it by not just taking some mouth word for it.

With all these broken issues in GoW, no full PC support, etc. facts says ~6-months, at best, with a tiny team but mostly freshman/interim/contracted devs.

i payed 42 dollars. gotta love greenmangaming. its a very enjoyable game, im glad i get to play it for 42 dollars on something i already own. even at 10 bucks 300 dollars for the console is pretty off putting

Despite the niggling issues with the port, overall you have to applaud Sony and Jetpack for doing a really good job with the game.

With PC, you have to additionally factor in dynamic UI, ultrawide resolution (which the devs said took a lot of work to get right) and ofc adding DLSS/FSR and better shadows.

Without realizing the extra work other than porting the existing PS game source code, just dont expect the game to come cheap.

When you have to do the work and deliver something and some paying so says you dont deserve more, then you will realize.

Yeah, I don buy his obvious BS, though. You got the guts open to GoW but you still fail to add a FOV slider, FULL ultra-wide support, exclusive fullscreen, etc., you have to re-animate stuff anyway when you add ultra wide, so, he was just having a diva moment for those that are not informed.

If you know you can get $50 for something you made would you not go for it?
What would be the reason to sell it less if you KNOW thousands... and thousands.... would buy it for $50?

The OP was questioning as to why the game deserves a $50 price tag. I think its not unreasonable by any means. Getting this game on PC is such a blessing so we have to just take it with open arms. If the OP feels the price is too expensive, he can very well wait a lot longer.

Would you rather buy a playstation just to play it? It's a really good game regardless and it would be worth the full $60 if that is what they charged. I don't like the console exclusive meta but it is what it is.

There will probably be a sale in 3 months (probably a small discount), but by then most of us who wanted to play it early will have moved on to other games. You always pay a bit more to play early.

It's called integrity and business ethics and all money is not good money. I know that seems alien to you, though, right?! 🙄

Because why sell or *settle* for only thousands, and have the *wise* consumers watch you carefully the next time *to either buy or not to buy* in the future when you could have earned tens/hundreds-of-thousands and gain even stronger support for your next title?!

Crazy to be fair and ethical, huh?! 😏

What is impressive is the fact that most people are actually fine with paying 50$ for it and give the game the highest praises.

Regardless if the price is greed driven or realy justified because of the high implementation costs. People are happy they got it. This realy is a testament to how good this game is.

And now to the maybe more important part.
If this shows developers how much we as gamers honor good games this maybe gives them a higher incentive to produce good games.
We all know how much AAA garbage get's produced these days.

The only reason to lower the price of an entertainment product is when noone is buying it.

They have no ethically obligation to make the game cheap.
