Forbidden Grip of the Ages

PS4 Guides tell how to get this grip. On PC I've tried many times even while looking at the guide on my second monitor and no luck. Anyone find a way to get it on the pc version of the game?

Yes i got it yesterday. You have to be very carefuly what you do as you enter the middle of the circle, try to run in looking already straight at Tyr's Temple and start the instructions from there.

I had to do it a few times before it worked. Also note: I assume you closed all the rift tears already? As far as i know you need to complete those before you can get it but i may be wrong.

Posting an update: It finally worked for me. I started by looking down while I moved to the center ring on the platform, then looked up to the temple, just follow the guide, but moving on to the ring center while looking down seem to be what I was missing.

Depends on what point in the game you are at. I am using that grip right now and its the best one out of the ones I have.

Depends on what point in the game you are at. I am using that grip right now and its the best one out of the ones I have.

Was never really usefull for me. I preferred the one that adds a flaming wave to each of your swings instead of the last one as it interrupts the enemies constantly. Was amazing to use against the Valkyrie queen.

Been having issues myself, i dunno if you have to be at a certain point in the game or not, but I beat the traveler, had Atreus light the torch (brazier?) been doing everything on sight as i see it, I don't know how I got it on PS4, but I did, this is there only thing stopping me for right now. I mean, I haven't ♥♥♥♥♥♥ the chisel or anything, I immediately set out to exploring the newly uncovered areas from the world serpent moving and the water dropping. I've done everything so far and other than the Wulver battle just outside the tower (that I was VASTLY under-leveled for, but still somehow managed to complete) this is the next hardest thing I've dealt with. Playing on Give Me God Of War difficulty, this is the first game, and play through that I've played the hardest difficulty on, so, not that I think it's affect that, but maybe that's part of it? (I really don't think it should affect it though...)
Edit: Also, I've ♥♥♥♥♥♥ the Muspelheim cipher pieces, just haven't been there yet, if that't of import at all. gonna do that sometime, debating if right before the last battle or just along the way, or immediately after i get this (or before if I get too fed up.)

Forbidden Grip is an axe pommel and you are talking about the blades... completely different weapon

Once you lower the water completely, you can get it. You just have to head to the Lookout Tower dock and make your way to the Muspelheim Tower where a Traveler stands guard.. once you beat him its just the matter of doing the 10 step direction combination with 1 second gap between each one.

You will hear 2 gongs.. one after the first 5 moves and one after all 10 when the secret realm tear will appear which has the pommel

Yeah, I killed the Traveler already, water has lowered twice, and lit the brazier, been trying for a few hours now and its just not working... I dunno what I'm doing wrong, the guide I'm looking at right now says: Left, Center, Right, Left, Center, Down, Right, Left, Center, Down. Been trying to give it due time to acknowledge that's what I'm doing to no avail. Do I just suck?

The combination is wrong... it is

Middle, Left, Middle, Right, Left, Middle, Down, Right, Left, Middle

Is it Surtr's Grip of Flame Pommel? Since it has a low perk chance, I'd imagine you'd need a lot of LUCK. I like that it works like "Blessing of the Frost" (Heavy Runic Attack), but fire.

It's possible you may need to have all the braziers lit first, I'm not sure about that, but that's the point in the game I was at when I tried and it worked?
