Jetpack Interactive deserves some accolades for this game
According to Digital Foundry, Jetpack Interactive took 2 years to make this port with only a FOUR MAN TEAM. That’s incredible they were able to deliver such a good port of the game. Now imagine SONY dedicating larger teams for PC ports. It’s definitely a good time to be PCMR.

Large team doesnt mean better work... *cough* Ubisoft
There are teams that are not large, but they know what are they doing.

Examples:
Panic Button (50 ppl), they have ported Doom and Doom Eternal to Switch (even that console is not powerful).
PH3 (dont know the number, but is not large), Durante's team have fixed games like YS:VIII: Legend of Danna (the launch was a disaster before PH3 fixed that game), has ported some Legend of Heroes games (Trails of Cold Steel and Nayuta) and YS IX: Mostrum Nox. Even giving local coop option for YS: VIII and YS IX. PH3 ports' are flawless.

It really depends on the workflow and what person is responsible for what, though I imagine with a port, those four people had many hats. This is pure speculation; but I'd wager they could have sped up the process a bit more. Though probably at that time when porting started Sony was still testing the waters and probably did not scale up the team. I do hope this will be something they address going forward.

The mouse processing badly done, it feels like emulated gamepad stick.

Two years was not enough to implement native pc mouse support?

I don't understand how people says this is a good ported game. Actually the optimization is quite bad. If you are thinking DLSS is now a must thing and we must evaluate game performance while DLSS is open then you are right. However, once you close the DLSS,optimization is very bad. For example, with gtx 1060 you can get 60 fps in Days Gone HIGH settings. But you can get 60 fps in LOW with gtx 1060 in God of War. Now, how can this be a good ported game?

As far as I know, both games are running 30 fps in ps4.

Well, maybe GOW might naturally be more demanding?

Have you considered using FSR? As the AMD's FSR works also with GTX cards.

So you’re saying optimization is bad then you reference and old weak GPU’s performance in the game lol. And you reference DLSS which is only available on a 20 and 30 series GPU which if you had one, you could use DLSS to improve performance but it wouldn’t be a straight up necessity to get good performance from the game. All you guys with low end PCs scream it’s not optimized while guys with good modern PCs say it is. Who’s right?

well they didnt promise 60fps experience with 1060 at all, so at least they were fair. They listed your gpu as 1080p 30fps on original settings. Is it the best port? no, but it is still good.

Sure it doesnt make sense that Open world game runs better than a game where you cant go more than 10 steps to the left and right with invisible walls everywhere.
But you know what issue days gone has? while my avg frames are higher than GoW, it has quite a bit of frametime issues compared to GoW, although it doesnt have better performance, it runs smoother. For comparison - days gone runs about 20% better, but 1% lows are way worse than in gow.

The only perfect running game from sony so far is death stranding pretty much, as i have absolutely 0 performance issues, havent heard anyone complaining either.

and the forced negative mouse acceleration and lack of exclusive fullscreen xD
only the mouse acceleration and fullscreen is annoying to me personally. As far as memory leaks, well if i had 16gb of ram and 8gb gpu, then it would be an issue, but its not. Gpu vram topped out at 10.6Gb allocation after ~7hours and system Ram was around ~20gigs.
They know about all of those issues and most likely will fix them in reasonable terms, well maybe appart from fullscreen, i dont think we will get that one.
