No, 4k with DLSS at quality looks better than 1440p native. 4k at quality renders at 1440p, and then upscales it to 2160p.
I have an rtx3080 and a ryzen 3900x
Same here, most of the time. Some areas drops down to 50-ish though, but they're few.
Thank you, sir!
You're welcome
I think its the 3900x thats giving the you the consistent 60 - my 2700x tends to bottleneck me a lot, unfortunately. I can get MOSTLY 60fps, with some really sharp drops during cutscenes and really crazy battles - i noticed it especially during the beginning fight with Baldur
I'll also admit that I'm not the most suave when it comes to messing with my PC though - so there is a chance maybe I'm not getting all the power out of my hardware thatI could. I have my CPU overclocked and I have my PC set to ultra performance, which gives me a bit of a bump. I tried messing with overclocking the GPU, but found very minimal gains with the 3080, so it wasn't really worth screwing around with too much. if you have any tips though, they're much appreciated!
I play with settings maxed at 4K, DLSS Quality, it is always above 60fps, and I find that the image looks better than the Native 4K image.
Go read the article about DLSS and FSR in God of War on Toms Hardware, it will explain everything right there.
Some parts look worse with DLSS enabled in this game. Hair and beard for example looks pixelated and grainy. There's also a slight halo effect around stuff like trees, bushes etc.
I hope they manage to patch it though, since DLSS can make games look better than native 4k if handled properly.
