Desktop color settings effect games look
I'm extremely annoyed that i have to adjust SDR, HDR and my desktop color settings in NVIDIA control panel to make this game look decent. it still looks off no matter how much i mess with it. why cant we just get Full screen support?!

also my tv doesn't actually switch over to HDR mode when i launch this game. why do people keep saying this game has the best HDR?

You have to have HDR toggled on in Windows display settings for the HDR in the game to work, then you have to turn it on in-game under Screen Calibration in the Display menu.

If you can't toggle HDR on in Windows then you might have to change the settings on your TV. On my TV I was never able to get HDR to work until I realized I needed to manually change the settings for the HDMI port I was using to HDMI 2.0.

If you did all this and it still looks wonky then adjust the HDR image settings on your TV. HDR looked like garbage on my TV until I changed it from 'Normal' to 'Bright', then it looked incredible. Of course the settings on your TV might be different than mine but it will be something similar. HDR in this game looks amazing compared to SDR once you get it set up right.

If you need help setting your TV to the right settings and have a Roku TV I might be able to help you. I'm not entirely sure but I think the menus on Roku TVs are very similar.

I have a LG cx OlED. Almost every game I have that uses HDR looks great. It’s really only this game and Soma bc they both use borderless. I know how to enable HDR on windows, I’ve been using HDR for over a year now with my PC. It’s the game not being in full screen that’s effecting it to look off. The game shouldn’t be affected by desktop color/ SDR/ HDR all at the same time but it is. I’m hoping they fix this by adding true full screen or fixing the SDR effecting HDR in the games settings.

It looks ok not the best HDR implementation but it's ok also there is some weird oversaturation on with red/orange very noticeable around fires.
