Side-quests necessary in NG+?

Just beat the game (Nifleheim and Muspleheim included) and I was thinking of moving over to NG+ and increase the difficulty. My question is: do you need to replay the side-quests all over again? They are by far the weakest part of the game and I really don't have the patience for it. I really just wanted to get everything out of the way so that I could focus on the narrative this time around but I'm afraid this will make Kratos underpowered. Thanks in advance.

You get perfect versions of the gear u got earlier and for some of the talismans and pommels u have to visit side quest areas..

Its ur choice anyways. Play the way you want to.

Do you need to do the puzzles again? I dont get it. Puzzles are fun to one time but do them second time sounds like a waste.

Puzzles are part of story progression I guess so I have to say yes... collectibles are up to you. If you want to skip them, its your choice. But favors are recommended as you need those resources for the perfect tier versions of gear.
