Between the realms: Dark elves fight - could it be more annoying?

I wonder what is the point of a fight where you are constantly blinded, enemies switching positions like crazy, and then when you are actually not blinded they just keep at the other end of the area so you cannot touch them. You try to evade but all of a sudden the other elf appears magically on the position you try to evade to and blocks the move. Basically its a matter of how lucky you will get during the fight.

Well, this is beyond me. I buy a game to have a good time not to get stuck into it with no way out. Of course if i knew there is such a fight i would save the game prior to the fight and do side quest and what not but no - you get there get stuck and you cannot get anywhere - you are forced to do the same thing over and over again. I am at the point where i would just remove it - I would enjoy more if I put the money on fire.

Isn t that the part of the game where the game ( the head ) tells you explicitly that you should finish all the side stuffs before continuing?

If you refer to the fight with the 2 elf kings at once, you should be so powerful at that point that it kind of a joke in GMGOW difficulty. On

Obviously not powerful enough cause a single of their powerful blows almost depletes the whole health bar.

Eventually they blind Kratos and ♥♥♥♥ you up immediately. When Kratos is blinded they throw attack after attack with increasing intensity and there is only so much one can do. In fact I got the fight down to one elf hanging by a thread and still he manages to perform a successful sliding attack which ♥♥♥♥♥ you up immediately.

The only encounters that have pissed me off are Valkyrie flights (fire realm and queen). The dark elves are great teachers for how you need to spend you time (dodging) when fighting the real bosses.

Forget about it.. I thought is something thinking about the hole story. but no.. and I was disappointed. Try if you can go back(before the realm between the realms) and upgrade The Ancient Armor Set. Also I think you also have World Serpent Armor Set witch is level 5+, but none of this will really help if you don't improve your fighting skills.

When you was in Alfheim you got some enhancements(level 3 or 4) called "fragmented heart of Alfheim" put those 3 on, it will reduce the damage received by 36%. In the description is says "reduces all damage", I think is only for "the FIRE".. you heard Atreus saying "incoming fire".. well is not fire is the Aether or "the power" of it.
You receive bouth damage and blind. Against blind are also enhancements.

Didn't saw in your video Atreus shooting the bow at all.. and also none of his runic attacks, NADA.. forget ALSO that runic attack (diving crow) is too weak for those Night Elfs. Put the Fighter Tunic on him and upgrade the arrows and be a little more aggressive. When you "can't" be aggressive and see that attack with the spear keep the shield up or better you can dodge // evade/roll and after attack. Also when they shoot fire with Aether keep the shield up.. even if you are too close to the impact it will "minimize" the damage.

If you can't beat them what you gonna do when you will face Baldr ?
Baldr is much stronger..
You can't finish the game if you don't beat Baldr, otherwise you chose to play God of WAR.. is about fighting right?.. but you can also admire the landscape, other realms/planets learning mythology, et ˈsedərə

Ah, I forgot.. forget also that talisman "Gauntlet of Ages" is ain't that good, are far better talismans in the game, the damage you do with that you can achieve with one or two axe hits.

Thanks for the detailed info! You made very good points. Regarding the armor - I had only part of Tyr's armor equipped when I started this fight - Tyr's Lost Unity Gauntlets. The rest of the armor consists of Dwarven Runic Pauldron and Dwarven Runic War Belt which I guess are quite weak at this point. I have the full Ancient Armor Set and Traveler's Armor set but just didn't quite like them. I wil switch to the Ancient Armor Set I guess.

Regarding the Fragmented Heart of Alfheim enchantment I had two of those installed in the armor for this fight.

Regarding Atreus - I find it distracting to aim and shoot while figting the Dark elves cause they move/change positions very fast. I use his arrows a lot but in fights which are not so intense.

Anyway, the good thing is I managed to consistently kill the dark elves even with the armor set used in the videos by focusing on only one of them until I kill them while just dodging/blocking the attacks of the other one. Still you cant evade all attacks especially if they manage to blind you - the sliding attack if it connects is quite devastating. I have no trouble evading most of the Dark eleves' attacks except the sliding move. Constantly replaying the fight over and over I found out that the easiest way to to evade the sliding attacks is by dodging backwards.

I'll investigate the talismans as per your suggestion - its just like with the armor - I liked that one better.

Don't give up on Gauntlet of Age if you are comfortable with it.. what I observed is that only, if you are very close to the enemy the punch will be quite significant.
If I attack as a tank I use Charm of Infinite Storms
If I play like a snake in defense I use Talisman of Unbound Potential witch when activated will refresh your runic cooldowns. So you can basically do eight runic damage in a row

If you like that light Blades of Chaos runic attack it has a follow up, witch also do damage and it can be activated(saw in your video that you didn't) after the first strike with mouse1 or 2
But I recommend you Rage of the Titans feels like a snake strike attack from cover and if you have Sindri's Chest Armor well.. check those out will you.

Yea yea I'm 2 years late but sincerely why are you not moving? Also, you are not agressive at all, you left one of them with almost nothing of health in the 1st try and you were scared as heck.
