Is there any use for them beyond opening the 3 rifts?

I did the 3 rifts, then I went into the maze to open the special chest with over 3000 mists hoping this time it would give me some great stuffs instead but no, just another anchor.

After you close those realm rifts inside maze you will find only materials to craft armor sets, upgrade them and silver, but with those materials you can upgrade the armor sets from Muspelheim and vice versa.

Right, forgot that one still I think that those items will disappear in some point in time, can't remember when but it was happened to me.. 2 of them.

I have 3 of them after finishing Niflheim so if they disappear.. well... gotta earn them again

I have no problem with earning, is like you prove yourself, like the battles with those crazy Valkyries
And talking about Valkyrie, maybe I'm wrong.. but I think the Revenants are far more dangerous, I mean without Atreus's help
I hate them and I love to fight them..

Wrong. They are deleted upon starting NG+. Devs didn't implement enough checks for Anchor drops. You never need more than 3 and you'll have to get them each time you do another NG+ run.

If thats the case they apparently botched the check for Leiptr Alloy cos you dont get 3 of them in NG+

Fair point @AR2R.. no FEAR DIMENSIONS to open, no need for Anchor of Fog. At least we could just maybe sell them.. I mean it is an earning in the end.

Wished the maze have been much more complex/difficult as well as Muspelheim trials

Leiptr alloy is a resource.

I miss materials to upgrade the Ancient Armor Set to the max. and I was in all locations around Midgard. But in Landsuther Mines the Ancient didn't wake up to fight, so.. I miss those "resources" because of that ? What do you think ?

Landsuther Mines Soul Eater is a decoration. He's not supposed to wake up. Soul Devourer spawns in The River Pass (before you encounter Reavers).

Hey I found him ! :))
He was hidden in snow or the snow had covered him, did not saw him at all
Found him in the region Thamur's Corpse

Thank you anyway for your advice, though I think you made a mistake by saying Soul Devourer spawns in River Pass.
Don't know, I mean I have not faced no Ancient nor before or after Reavers, and the Ancient Set is now maxed out.

Nah.. If you didn't read my words and understand me , I tell you now.. I'm a true warrior, I earn fame, just this is not the type of game I usually play.. I'm a shooter a very good one, I will fight my way to the top.

I was swayed to buy this game because of the Norse Mythology, because I thought is different after I saw Marvel movies, where gods are just man.. aliens from another planets , where in "reality"/mythology those are not planets but realms, but here I am.. playing God of War :)))

Go back to The River Pass where you first meet Brok. The area right before you first encounter Reavers (cannibals). There's a Soul Devourer spawn.

i know where you mean.. you mean the "arena" before the bridge.. the bridge before Reavers, right ? Still is no Soul Eater/Devourer and I came back there twice.. after walking through. Once for an Artifact and second time because I forgot that I still miss one Raven.

If that's the place where you mean, I tell you is no Ancient. I encounter... I tell you what I remember, one Revenant few Hellheim warriors and some Draugrs.
No way I go back there again and besides that as I said above, the Armor Set is NOW maxed out, so.. I have no reason.

You know what you know, and I told you what I saw/encounter. Maybe he is/was hidden like the last one and I couldn't see him because I move fast (auto sprint), but not when I was back to that area to "collect" those missing "items", back then I was very "observant"
