Magni and Modi is just kinda dumb on the harder difficulties.

The fight is fun up until the last phase which is when you just get spammed out with gimicks, if you get slightly clipped on a singular pixel you've been oneshotted, you keep getting spammed so you cant equally distribute damage, it was fun but just really boring and irritating now.

hard mode was cool until i fought a valkyrie in helhiem and i just got stomp spamed for 3 hours

Yeah, i took a long break from this game just because it was becoming less and less fun, and now Its just as I said, its pretty just unfun now, but ive come far enough that I dont want to restart a new game.

I just beat them on Give Me God of War. The only discernable difference from what I can tell between that and Give Me a Challenge (my first playthrough) is that their special attacks, much like other bosses, turn them into a bunch of One-Shot Andys. I would suggest focusing on the big guy and let Atreus spam arrows at his brother. Also you can cancel their fastball special joint attack by throwing the axe at Modi while he's in the air. Plus there's checkpoints during the fight so at least you don't fight them from scratch each time. This ain't Sekiro.

Couldn't tell you what theyre like on the lower difficulties as I haven't played them.

Does that even do anything? I thought you were meant to bolt it to the other side of the room, which works, until it doesnt work and a pixel clipped you and you eat ♥♥♥♥ lol

with the area of effect you have to run to the otherside but when the beam of lightning gets shot out you can block that and throw your axe when he flies in the air. The worst part is getting them both down at the same time so i focus on the shield guy first

Gotcha gotcha. Is your rage meter anywhere close to being full? I beat them by tapping into rage mode as they were both on their last bar and just did the ground slam. It knocked out Modi because he takes more damage and then I quickly finished Magni.

i would say your best option without rage meter is to switch from shield attacks and combos to axe combos, i throw my axe and do the heavy combo when it comes back often to do lots of damage

honestly yeah, the only other boss fight that was genuinely irritating and unfun was the dark elf dude,

this isnt even genuinely irritating its just annoying, as soon as you get close just dumb gimmicks ruin everything.
