The author makes the game at his own pace
There was the last update over a year ago. The author is not involved in the game.

I've just been needing more time than I had hoped for. I get that that may frustrate some people (myself included at times), or even cause worry. I'll go into some more details of the hows and whys in the next development diary post, once I feel I have enough ready to be able to share a little more info about the update I'm working on.

Making bold claims based on assumptions feels unfair though. I feel that might cause unjustified concern for other players. And while others have already been so kind to provide proper context, it might help ease some worries of others reading this to see myself debunking this claim as well.

tldr; Sorry for taking so long, but I'm not done with Increlution any time soon ;)

If you'd look at the sticky post at the stop called "Development Diary" you'd see a long reply from December where Gniller outlined their ideas for the next ~4 chpaters and also said to not expect any updates before Q2 of this year - maybe even later.

There have always been longer gaps in which we have not heard any news, but so far Gniller always delivered and I am happy to wait a bit longer to get a well fleshed out continuation of the current game.

Perhaps someone active in Discord has a more recent update than Dec 2023?

Also the last update was 10 months ago, not 12

Kinda weird to make a false statement as factual truth when you're clearly not informed on the topic. One should phrase it as a question; which is a genuine question to ask, considering that it has been a long while since an update, both literally and communicative.

Last official news were as above mentioned, in Dec 2023, that the update adding roughly (estimated) 40-50% more playtime content, is due some time in the summer season. At the post time (dec), 2 chapters were more or less finalized, the third in progress and the fourth to be conceptualized.
Dev (gniller) did also point out that it's been longer than usual, as he did have a creative block for a little time, but as far as the post mentioned, should be in the past.

He has no plans of abandoning the game, with an estimate of 25 ish chapters before 1.0, then working on ng+ and potentially other things.
He just works slowly rather than releasing content that he might regret later. He develops with a philosophy that what is released shouldnt need changes later; measure 10 times, cut once.
Thank you all, was getting worried and saw this post and me heart skipped a beat. Im not very involved in any communities ussualy but this post seems to blatant lie. Anyone who'd look into community before buying and seeing "The author abandoned the game." will not do it, so reporting this post Simon.
A developer of this app has indicated that this post answers the original topic.

Thanks for the answer. I was on discord and there were also very rare messages there.
Maybe you can make a support DLS?
The game is great, but the price is outdated. And additional support from those who want to help can motivate you better.

forgive my ignorance but what exactly is support DLS?

and if your worries are settled can you change the title so you stop giving people heart attacks? and even causing some to just leave the game right after reading the title in the community hub under the assumption that it is true

So many people are entitled, impatient, and have no idea how long it takes to make something. SMH
