I broke my game :(

I was playing for the first time yesterday but after getting ready to end the night, I had closed Steam down from the taskbar. I didn't realize that would close the game down too, so I tried to stop it but it still shut it all down. Realizing I never saved, I went to go open it up again but now the game just won't open. It does try- a pop up comes up with the game's icon and a red exclamation point in the corner and a small loading bar above it that never completes before the pop up disappears and the game stops trying. I already tried repairing the game files with the option from my library, uninstalling and reinstalling it into a different hard drive, manually deleting the game folder, but nada. Anyone have any idea why this is happening and what I can do?
