Stuttering audio

Hi, I’ve noticed that my audio is occasionally stuttered. So far, it’s happened with the music and the rain sounds (like in the example video). My drivers and the game are fully up to date, and I’m not experiencing this issue with any other games

Just wanted to say that I'm having these problems as well on my mac with snowfall and fire, it's not consistent though, sometimes it's really bad and sometimes just a few blips.

This is affecting my steam deck too, especially when there is fire or rain.

Having the same problem on my Windows 10 PC, it affects most of the sounds at least slightly. The fire is particularly bad, makes the audio completely crap out for its entire duration like in the video posted.

same here, win 11, just bought the game, no other issues, but rain and fire make the music stutter

The issue seems to be that the game is trying to play too many sounds, in too short of a time-frame. This isn't the only game where I've seen this problem, it seems like the issue is inherent with the attempt to play 20+ sounds at the same time. In this case, it's playing a sound for every single tile that is altered, which becomes very noticeable with fire, rain, snow, and irrigators.

Yep, just noticed this today as well. It's only when it rains, and when there are a lot of tiles to cleanse. The longer it goes on and the fewer dirty tiles there are, the less it stutters.

I have the same problem. Windows 10, Realtek High Definition Audio headset.
It's a great relaxing game, but it's ruined.

Hi, having the same issue. Surprisingly, doesn't seem to happen on the Netflix curated mobile version.
Can confirm rain and fire make the audio stutter. If you move the camera around while it's happening, sound acts as it should. This is also minimized by zooming in and rendering less flames/rain.

Same here, playing it again now for the first time since I completed it when it was newly released. Don't remember having this issue before.
