"Antarctic Oasis" Achievement

So is this intentionally set to require you to leave an incomplete restoration? Snow precipitation (necessary for purifying map, getting climate requirements, etc) turns lava into rock automatically. I finished cleanup while not snowing and therefore with a bunch of lava tiles, and the achievement didn't pop while it immediately started snowing during takeoff.

Was that just bad luck or do you have to avoid precipitation to get this achievement?

I think that you need to play it in a way that you don't get snow to start, aka never get below -4 C.

Right, you need to use the flash freezers to get snow or ice in small locales for your wildlife goals, and skip all of the optional goals that require more than 40% humidity (didn't take much willpower since there's no lasting recognition for completing them). Mine was a dirty mess at the end

You can also leave a couple of fissures intact, then, afrer recycling all your buildings except 1 monorail node, blow up the fissures right after the snow ends. Then finish as usual.

I got this largely by accident. If I remember correctly, the lava still remains after removing a power plant. I had enough placed that when I recycled, it left behind enough lava to count for the achieve. I finished the map before it could snow again, to the lava remained.

I did was Basilisk did and the second i lifted off it started snowing
