Bug: Bird refuses to see skyscraper

Bird in the Flooded city refuses to accept it has 6 tiles of a derelict skyscraper nearby even if you place its marker right on top of the skyscraper.

On the recycled it's just red X - it doesn't recognise the recycled skyscraper as valid at all

Oh, really? Wow. I thought I needed to get lucky and have two skyscrapers next to each other. I had boars right next door, but I swear it wasn't counting when I used a frame that I built bamboo on.

Wow, that's a terrible "hint" the game has - how the hell is anyone supposed to figure out that having all 9 skyscraper tiles is partially fulfilling the condition of being near 6 tiles of a skyscraper, recycled skyscraper is completely invalid, and recycled skyscraper with bamboo is the sweet spot??

Yep, just restarted the city level like 3 times because of this.

It is something of a bug or anomaly though. As soon as you recycle the skyscraper, it stops being Derelict Skyscraper tile, which the game tries to point you to as you inspect the hints for the bird, which is obviously wrong. You need a "restored" or repurposed skyscraper, not a derelict one.

I am on a level with no buildings, so there is no way to complete all of the animals thing. Why would animals that are impossible to find on these levels. I am on the second level of the game.
Also, when exiting and restarting the game, I should not have to rediscover the animals already discovered.

Which animal are you having issues with? I just did the second level and found all of them.

If animals are not possible to find in the current state of your map, the environment is not suitable for them. Have you tried forcibly creating the conditions needed for them to be there? i.e., if looking for a parrot in a forest, you would need to recycle any nearby buildings. If you are looking for a flamingo, you need to have wetland and beach next to each other. Etc...

Ok, then it's still a bug, because the scanning results explicitly states, that continental bird requires "derelict skyscraper" tiles, which are non-recycled skyscraper tiles.
Animals scanning is just incredibly buggy. Had to scan 5 times before it would detect all the lagoon tiles for discovering the turtles...

Yep. The bird should never show up in the maps that don't have the skyscraper buildings. I guess I should have clarified 'building' as you did above. Thanks for that.
