EDIT: I restarted and faced a different, related issue. The shade clothes left a huge gap in the middle and I can't find a way to span it. The inability to adjust anything and the RNG of whether shade clothes work or not is really harshing the experience.
But the Tropical Area was pretty hard tho! I mean, i had lots of trouble with reaching enough BEACH xD
I've tried the second map FOUR times now and the consistent issue is not enough cliffs to build shade cloths, even when im being incredibly careful about what type of ground is available in this area.
This obviously needs some sort of patch, because I refuse to let the procedural generation annoy me this much in what is arguably a relaxing game
At least in the next biome (Volcano?) you are given the opportinity to use a machine to manually create hills and cliffs ^^
I think its more a case of me (and a couple other people on these forums) as being UNLUCKY,
