I think the worst is the Wind Evo from the Fire Salamander. You either use a gigantic amount of Magic Chips or you waste a gigantic Amount of Potential (200+ i think )
All of that would not be so bad, if not for the fact that you can do it all over again if you go for a reboot ^^
To be clear, I am not having an issue increasing my Magic to qualify for Kobolith. I am having an issue where the pre-evolution's natural stat growth in Strength is DISQUALIFYING me from Kobolith. Unless there are negative stat chips in the game I haven't seen?
you are saying that if Kobalth reaches let's say 20 strength, then no matter how high his magic goes, he can't evolve into Kobolith`?
If that is the case, then 1.04 has a solution for this.
* Added a new upgrade item that prevents level up stats gain (but you gain Potential)
One is in a chest in Memory Meadow and another can be bought in Bug's Den.
With how reboots and stats works here, it won't always be possible to naturally evolve them. But at least for starter Tama, in this case Kobalth, I'll make one of his evos a default one, and another one require a high stat
Oh so we get the Stats we don't get as Extra Potential? That is kinda neat since it weakens the "need" to not use the tamas you want to use.
Basically what i mean is : The most optimal way to play is to never use potential on the Tamas you eventually want as your End Party until the final reboot to gather as much starting Potential as possible. By the way i really dislike this Feature. Altough the Difference isn't that high and when Tama start to get +60 Potential for a single Levelup, then having 100+ Starting Potential isn't really that much of a deal.
But now with this Chip, the Stats and in return the Cost of upgrading doesn't increase, so having a ton of Potential at Lv.1 is not that important anymore. Of course Evos will still increase the Price but using your Potential on the Base Form when the % Stat is lower then their Evo isn't ideal anyway, since the upgrade cost scales quicker.
E: Oh wait a second if we don't level up our stats until the final Evo then logically speaking the extra potential get from the chip should be equal to the never increasing upgrade cost which would not be good at all.
E:2 Altough if that assumption is correct, then we could do something insane like pushing all Stats to 100+ with Chips at lv.1 and propably gain so much Potential that we can Max out a tama without a Reboot? xD Not that i would ever want to farm so many Chips.
