sniper rifle zoom behavior
Hey guys, the game is great but I have a minor issue, the sniper rifle seems to not be linked to the zoom weapon behavior function as I cannot toggle it between hold/toggle. It only does toggle. Can you please make the gun behave/link it to the others and not separately? Makes it confusing mid-firefight. Thanks.

Seconding the request for this feature. I found the toggle for the scope limiting my playstyle and forcing the player to actively unscope made firefights with the sniper rifle annoying. Especially since there isn't any 'quickswitch back to previous weapon' feature.

The zoom toggle was a deliberate choice because the secondary zoom level would not be usable with a hold-to-zoom but we are rethinking how this can work because we are aware that it sets the DMR apart from the other weapons.

I would remove the secondary zoom altogether since there really isn't a need for that feature at all in the game.

Being able to use the DMR from a closer range with an accurate zoom is a playstyle that I really like. 8x Zoom is too narrow for close quarters, this upgrade fixes that.

What Cockatrice forgot to mention is that we are going to fix that soon. We found a way to make it work with both Toggle and Hold Zooming while still allowing magnification to be changed. We simply ran out of time.

I am referring to the additional zoom level upgrade when I said "secondary zoom". I don't think I'd ever get that upgrade simply because the zoom level that's given by default is enough to see and kill targets.

Glad to hear you figured out a way to enable the feature that we want. Looking forward to replaying the game whenever it's implemented.

The Zoom upgrade makes the default zoom, zoom out more, making it a more viable close to medium range weapon, while still retaining long-range functionality through a a second zoom level.

The default zoom level (without the upgrade) zooms a lot, so if enemies are mobile and close to your position, zoom becomes a very bad idea. The upgrade fixes that
