Juggernaut tips?

Just met my first Juggernaut... and it's not going well.

Any tips? I see things in the forum like ice and acid - but I don't have anything like that yet. Just the starting weapons - Cricket, Automatic rifle and shotgun.

Any way to reduce the difficulty for this one fight?

One Acid granade or just dash from cover to cover. One, two shotgun rounds and than reposition. Finding a Vent to hide in works too.
You cant play Selaco like the usual Doom Mod and face the enemies head on.

He just shoots his mini gun until I'm dead. Sliding around is pointless. Tried a few times and then just lowered the difficulty and killed him with the shotgun. Great game but stupid boss fight

Either stick to cover and shoot, or keep moving.

The juggernaut cannot hit you if you strafe/dash and shoot.

Just stay behind cover when he's shooting. He will need to reload. Then double tap or triple tap him with the Roaring Cricket.

The one in the hospital lobby? If you want to cheese it just camp up the stairs and he will get stuck below you where you can just shoot him in the head with the shotgun.

Other Juggernauts later on take advantage of their size. They can't follow you into smaller rooms and they aren't fast outside of their jump to begin so you can just run away and take potshots at them.

Yeah camp upstairs he usually gets stuck down, which allows one to shoot him from above fairly safely.

I have just done a playthru where the dude figures his way up the stairs, which makes for some awkward fighting. He still goes down with the shotgun.

Well he is a big bastard. So yes, without acid or the rail, caution indicated.

I got to Pluto Burger with a half-upgraded Penetrator and Juggernaut did not like that conversation.
