Selaco is a great game

The drama with the devs breaks my heart. I bought this game a year ago i believe and i love this game, just wanted to say that. Please do better and go about these things more professionally.

People that don't buy your product because of what happened, have a right to not do so, in the end you and i cannot control how people perceive things but learn about how to go about communicating with others.

With that being said keep up with the good work, looking forward to the next chapter!

They haven't addressed ANYTHING.

Saying "we spoke poorly" in response to CM's saying they literally don't want their gamers' money isn't "addressing" ♥♥♥♥. It's trying to deflect in the hope that people forget.

Which recent history has proven literally doesn't work.

They don't care about the devs or the game, those grifters do it for money and clouts. Now theyre targeting selaco, then it will be AC shadows or any game that fit in their next grift. A cancer in the gaming community.

That is not how the Streisand Effect works. I bet more ppl bought the game thanks of those grifters since those ppl never had an intention on buying it. They're just a tiny minority.

Just compare this to the Bloodborne Kart dev situation. This is literally night and day.

I loved what I played of this game, it was very good it was also my most anticipated game, but as a developer you should never attack ANY customers period.

it saddens me, because this is a game i've praised over and over and over again.
No dev should ever lash out like this especially when they get free advertising because people love their game and want to show it off.

And they should have apologized straight up and took full responsibility for what they said and they didn't.

When this went down initially, what should have happened is they should have said NOTHING. If they had to say anything at all they should have been gracious that it was shown off at all to a big audience so more people can see their game and hopefully gain even more sales.

Instead it turned into the same ol political ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ that keeps happening over and over and over and over and over again.

We're gamers damn it, we just wanna play good games and celebrate them.

I'm sick of it man, so are a lot of people out there.

Stop attacking your customers, just make good games and we'll buy them simple.

Do better devs, do better.

CM's RIGHT NOW are closing critical threads and directing people to another critical thread they already closed.

The idea that there's "no more bad blood here" is hilariously asinine, and you're either blind to it or openly support it.

Does it ever get old to be that paranoid of the world? "It's coordinated" "It's attacking the devs!" So according to your warped logic, just engaging in general discussion is "attacking".

This is blatantly wrong. We absolutely will close threads that devolve into personal attacks, become wholly uncivil or hateful, but we have not taken any action to prevent these conversations from happening.

Except they didn't. You make it sound like people have no agency of their own whatsoever and drone about like robots. It's not that complicated. When you do dumb stuff on the internet, especially as a company or development group. People are going to notice and share their thoughts on public forums. It's not harassment or attacking. Deal with it.

Pro level advice for free (not necessarily for any specific person here):

- When someone gives you an award for your publicly released game, just say "thanks" and move on. It doesn't make you complicit with the enemy.

- When you disagree with someone, don't start tagging them with unprovable broad strokes like "hater" "grifter" or "nazi" when you have no evidence of any of this. It makes you look like the sort that would throw shade for any reason, these kind of people don't get taken seriously.

Edit: also agree with OP: Selaco is a great game. Its so great that people you don't like may be buying it right now...
