5th Secret in Office Complex
Playing through Chapter 4 and have reached the office complex section, however i'm stumped as to where the 5th secret is (been looking for 45 mins).

I ended up looking at a guide and it seems there should only be 4 secrets (unless a new one was added in an update), so is this a new very hidden secret or just a glitch? I've got the weapon upgrade too but that didn't register as a secret.

Did you check the wallcrack in the blue hallway? It has a secret within a secret.

It's the weapon upgrade, and it should register as a secret.

It's the Burst Fire Zoom upgrade for the assault rifle, and it's in the first room of the level. Hug the left wall as you come in, it's right next to the nailgun, behind a door that gets opened up by the last wave spawning here.

Nope didn't register as a secret, still got 4/5 secrets for the level

There are a few levels where you're unable to get all the secrets on the initial playthrough. The game brings you back to those levels a little later on where you're able to access new areas and find those secrets.

If you're ever stuck, check out this video playlist:

Check the descriptions/comments of the vid for the level you're on. You'll likely find details like I described above.

There are no bugged secrets or upgrades. I was able to obtain 100% of unlocks.

Had a look at your video for Office Complex, it only registers 4 secrets out of 4, where as mine registers 4 secrets out of 5. So which is the correct one?

Brandon, sorry for the flippant attitude but your vids are full of ads, a 20 sec ad every 2mins is a bit much mate. Especially when Steam's web viewer doesn't have adblock. Is this just Youtube forcing ads or have you set that as if you have, it's a bit much.

Those aren't my vids. pagb666 has been making no commentary walkthroughs for over a decade, he's extremely well known in the PC FPS community.

The only decider of how many ads you see is Youtube. You're complaining about the world's leading server of advertisements is serving you ads. Water's wet, bud.

Uninstall all of your adblockers and install this one:

Fair Do's, I prefer image based walkthroughs, straight to the point and no needing to start stop start.

Indeed, which is why the moment someone uploaded the following guide, it went straight to my favourites:

But back on topic; the latest update added a new zoom bust-fire mod for the assault rifle which is counted as a secret, so those old guides are of course slightly out-of-date as they haven't been updated. Still, rubregg has already mentioned its location:

Still, if you have already picked that mod up, and the counter still says 4/5, check the other secrets again. Since the game runs on GZdoom, the quirks of that engine will also have carried over, meaning that you may have missed the "secret found" trigger for one of the other secrets.

I do not think we use this. And if there is a secret that does, it's likely an outdated one.

We hate the way GZDoom handles secret sectors so we've worked our way around it so it's more reliable.
