What do i do with enemy mines?

I forgot how to disarm them and there is no Codex on Mines, currently im in Selaco Libterra, there is mine in the entrance to the room with blue key card, i remember i could disarm enemy mine if i drop stuff on it, but it doesnt work or i need bigger weight than a book, so how to get past it?

If you ask me its not really logical that you cant just shoot it or blow it up

You can take anything heavy and throw it onto the mine. Various items from bag and heavier should work.

Wow, I should try this, never thought it was possible.

Also I remember fondly one mine I was able to detonate with my pistol, every other one never reacted to my weapons and grenades.

I do wonder who put the mine there tho. I know it's just for the difficulty but imagine it, soldiers are killing everyone in the hospital. One of them sneaks into Dawn's room and instead of killing her just puts a mine there thinking "surely she would kill herself with the mine it'll be really funny lmao"

There's a datapad somewhere with the info on mines on it. Really though, just find anything about the size of a duffel bag and huck it at the mine and it'll blow. Just uh... Stand back. They're pretty powerful.

This really had me stuck as well, I had to walk out and grab a chair to throw at it. Seems like a strange choice to not have the books activate em.

You can disable them without any props at all.

Once you figure out how, it becomes extremely easy! Remember to read the Datapad

I once disabled a mine by throwing a cup of coffee to the wall next to it. Cup broke and the liquid disabled the mine! awesome attention to details :)

cups work against other enemies too. Shhh

I found running into mines disables them after brief explosion.
