Update: One of us had not hit "Download" on the DLC that's included, which caused us to have different versions of the game.
Why these versions are needed: the only reason is a cross-platform play that we are working on at the moment. Console versions are in certification and we need to have a stable cross-playable version that would allow the check on the console platforms side. If we hold the PC version for 2-3 months then you won't be happy as well because we do work on the new content, fixes, etc. and it requires versions update. But we can't update that fast on the console side (the process is very specific and totally different then it is on Steam). Console version takes a month for the update and you can't update during the certification.
But we will join all the version later when al the consoles pass certification. That way you won't need to switch the versions anymore.
Apologizes for some troubles with the process at the moment but we really hope that you understand why it is needed and it is not a critical issue for you. At the end you will be able to cross-play with your friends on consoles, PC and mobile devices without any special steps needed from you side, i.e. as easy as pushing Play :)
