Bee Hive Sting

So is it normal to get killed on day 1 by being stung by the bee hive? Have one by the entrance of my house and the poison took out all of my HP overtime. Is the combat Dark Souls level of difficulty? If a remember correctly I left the difficulty option as it was(default).

Yes, it's possible to get killed by the bees. Especially if your heart level is low. Just stay away from them until you're able to make an antidote in the stove. What I do is, I take my axe & sneak up on the tree & chop it down. Then you can use the hive parts to make beehives that make honey. Or sell them in your shop. I don't know about the 2nd question. Sorry.

Yeah that was a great welcome to the game, find your new place oh and die on the way right as you start.

After playing for some hours, the combat is decent. Poison is super over powered though. The amount of time you stay poisoned is too much.

I fell asleep irl so I restarted the game, and the second time I managed to make it to the bed (in game) and after napping for about 4 hours the poison debuff wore off and I avoided death. So if you run straight to bed you can beat the bee death.

just cut down the tree from behind you get the bee hive 2
