Apples for Chicken Feed

I have started the winter season in the game. All of the apple trees are dead for now. How do I make the chicken feed? Also, any chance a greenhouse could be considered for the game. This way we could grow crops and trees even through winter. Thanks.

I have not reach the point of having farm animal yet, but can't we use Wheat to make chicken feed? I would thought chicken usually eat grain and worms. Apple usually for horses and weeds for cow? I have been eating apple for hunger all this time, guess I have to start collecting them if I want to build chicken coop later :P

I was surprised as well. Thought maybe corn could be used..but no. And, you need rope to make the feed for the cows, sheep and pigs.. Hay.

I can understand using rope to make the cow shed(?) but why for the feed?

You need a bag to bring the food for the cow, right? And rope is needed to close the bag

ah.. if that is the case, it make sense. Can we like have a few ingredient options ( like to make chicken feed, we can use either apple/ or vegi we farm? ) later down the line for update?
