Oh let me guess you'll sell the rest of the game that was in previous entries as 'season pass dlc' right? So if I want to see the rise of the Tokugawa Shoganute I have to pay $30 for the season pass or be forced to pay $50+ for separate DLCs correct? Honestly I don't understand the appeal this is clearly a lazy scam of a product. Just port over Samurai Warriors 4 Empires, Dynasty Warriors 7 Empires, and bring Samurai Warriors 2 and Dynasty Warriors 4 Hyper back on sale to PC and we'll be fine till you can actually make a quality Warriors game again.

Damn, I've never seen such a hopeless optimist like you before. Everyone knows Koei season passes usually costs more than the base game and they make not one but several of them.

I haven't play it yet, but honestly, cutting that many characters out of the roster and making all the others characters like "Sengoku Idols" pretty boys...
Just watching the trailer, the characters design and hearing their voices (especially old Nobunaga voice) and they personalities, it just keep my expectations about the game very very low.
I hope that after playing, it change my mind and show my I was wrong, because I have never made a negative review to any SW/DW game ever (including DW9), and I don't want it to be the first. So please be a good game!

Because that was the point of the game... SW5 covers everything Ranmaru should be a part of, yet they retconned him out for a few new characters and changed how the war started.

Guys you have to understand that they are changing some gamplay systems and redesigning the characters to fit with modern expectations. This means more work on the devs and unless the budget increases, the content will shrink due to the new additions. Understand Omega Force is a small dev and they do not have the money to make massive games one right after the other when the titles do not sell that massively well in the first place. I remember peope ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ before about how they should revamp the character designs. Well, they got their wish. Unfortunately we are not getting as many characters as a result.

TBH is suspect we will see a SW5-II that will add a handful of characters back to the fray. If you are that concerned then I suggest you wait.

I personally will buy the Deluxe Edition because I want to support the game and with my support the upgraded version will have a chance to add more content for you babies.

If we support the game but ask politely for the features we want in the upgraded version we may just get some. As mentioned above, people wanted new designs for the main characters. They got it.

Just stay patient and use your head. If you cannot justify the price then skip on the base release and wait for the upgrade or a sale.

Groot, they don't understand your point. They think Koei decided to cut the number of characters because they woke up and decided to do so for zero reason. They want a generic game without any personality but with 8904384358943893794238 characters for them to play, instead of redesigning the series. Giving them room to polish the series and reducing the number of clones will benefit the game in the long run. The old formula is old.
