Can we equip any weapon to any character?

As seen in this screenshot here, there's way more tabs for weapons for Nobunaga, however, I think they're locked because I don't own any weapons like that.

Something tells me that they'll make it work like DW8, where everyone can equip anything, but only certain characters can use certain weapons efficiently.

Well then I would like to change No's weapon. With the Bow she is giving the feel of Ina rather than No I used to know. If only her claws were back...

Pretty sure SW5 adopted DW6 or 7 weapon change system. Except, not change as mosou ouigi attack's motions.

Like No being alot about Ice and Fire on Bow. Or do they just copy other characters moves eg the protagonist ones ?

Followup question, forgive me, the last musou i played was DW8 and Its been a while, memory is b*

Im planning to get the deluxe and you get special weapon sets, will I be able to upgrade those weapons, if they are legendaries/uniques or do i have to get rid of them as i level up?

they do not have unique movesets per character, there is 27 characters and 15 weapon styles, all share the same moves, if the character was known for using said weapon he gets 1 unique triangle attack.

this is appealing more to the DW8,9 Crowd then to the SW 1-4 crowd
