Mitsuki/Kunoichi

With idea that Mitsuki is replacing Kunoichi for this game even with the Takeda present does anyone think they’ll continue with this and we’ll see Mitsuki become Yukimura Sanadas Kunoichi going forward into 5 Xtreme Legends or even 6 depending if they choose to expand into hideyoshis story through either an expansion or new game.

I have mixed feelings as it would be interesting to see the change even though Kunoichi has been one of mains across Samurai Warriors and Warriors Orochi and I wouldn’t be surprised if that’s what they did seems they already technically did it in the second game if you exclude empires by replacing Kunoichi with Nene.

So yeah I was just wondering what others thought at this possible change amongst others that Samurai Warriors 5 has already made

no I'm pretty sure once it's Hideyoshi's time to shine they have to bring back Nene... as for Sanada that would be an interesting choice

likewise Nene was added in SW2? due to the lack of Kunoichi...

sigh... considering that Nobunaga Shimazaki (Eugeo) voices this incarnation of Nobunaga it would be hilarious that Yoshitsugu Matsuoka (Harem King) voices future incarnation of Hideyoshi

I'm still weirded out why did the team made Chacha like a stand in for Sanada's wife... then again 1 game later Nouhime dies WAY EARLIER (reportedly she kicks the bucket in Honnoji)

Yeah it a shame Samurai Warriors 2/Xtreme Legends didnt have Kunoichi probably felt they only needed one female ninja character and with kunoichi being fictional anyway they chose Nene to fill that role but like I said thankfully she was in the empires game.

But yeah as mentioned I expect Nene to make a appearance aswell once again in 5XL/6 but its still surprising she not in this game but thats probably due Sandayu who seems to be filling that role as Hideyoshis ninja though with that said he also fills his actual role in the story instead of them using Kotaro Fuma.

Also with Chacha I wonder if there's some actual history behind that as a tv series called "Sanada Maru" did something similar with Yukimura and Chacha showing us that there could of been a possible romance if it wasnt for Hideyoshi.

Also with Nohime I dont think they actually know when she died theres alot of theory around it I believe but either way in this game that wanted to use her death as a catalyst for Nobunaga transforming into the Demon King instead and then of course they then followed the likes of the Code Geass Anime where he takes over the country(Well mostly he had the capital) in this case using any method possible making him the sole target of everyone's hatred hoping it will bring an end to the chaos once hes seen as the true evil that everyone needs to unite against to erase well that's kinda what they where going with but it was still really just as case of Mitsuhide doing what he's always done but they wanted to make out that Nobunaga was the hero that choose to play to role of the villain in the hope of uniting Japan.

Sanada Maru is basically 'celebrating Sanada family after the fact', which is why Capcom's Sengoku Basara made Sanada-maru as well, in response K-T also made their own Sanada-maru

Well just anyone know Mitsuki's VA is also Chacha's VA in Spirit of Sanada so there's that -_-

Yeah its a shame Sengoku Basara 3 bombed badly in the west even though they did try to promote it as I would of liked to get an english version of 3 utage and 4 and there version of Sanada Maru as you mentioned though with that said it looks like the series has died a death after that one so i dont think theres gonna ever be a chance of a 5th game at all in the Sengoku Basara series

I really liked Basara. I do think they had a misconception of their own doing though. Koei fans were SW fans because of SW1 and 2. The actual localized versions.

First there was Devil Kings that everyone hated. Skip that.

Fans of Basara had to import SB2 and SB2 Heroes, or play a modified pkg on a jb ps console. Because there was no localization. As a result, when Utage and 3 came out, the small fan base they did have in NA did the same thing they always did. They imported and played JPN version with a translation guide. Because it came out half a year before any localization.

Six months later wihen Utage and 3 were localized, there was no longer any hardcore fans left to buy them.

Their fan bases just started at different locations.
