Eri and her explosive jump skill, you can max it out for two 8 damage aoes and you can stack both explosions on bosses for 16 damage which is huge. Pair that with her mobility and adrenaline gaining skills and you can start to become creative on piling on a ridiculous damage a turn.
Fio and her Meticulous loadout, this is a "support" loadout that is really straight forward but she is gonne be your crutch in the early game since she can help mitigate bad play and is the source of consistent healing in the game which is extremely rare. Remeber that being targeted by delayed attacks (Like bosses) count as a status so capitalise on the double attacks!
Tarma can gain a huge amount of dodge a turn if you pair it with cover, along with a skill that lets him reflect all damage that was dealt to him (it dosent even need to actually hurt him!)
On general tips :
Save your special ammo for bosses or high priority missions. But mainly bosses.
On the two deployable vehicles, there is pretty much no reason to not take the Metal Slug rather than the slugnoid. However, the slugnoid is able to traverse up and down tiles while the metal slug is stuck on the ground which sometimes help on dense maps (the jungle map in particular has a lot of tiles at different height while the desert is mainly plains).
Awesome game
Ammo for the special weapons is a bit of a mixed bag for me on use, entirely depending on the map layout. Half the time on runs, i go whole hog on wasting every shot IF a mission completion restocks your entire ammo. Nadia is even one of the few that has a specific loadout that makes it you dont ever waste ANY ammo if you're on a mine. Some gun even have so much ammo on base that it isn't even too bad to use a lot of it and still have enough to spare on a boss fight/important mission.
Plus 15$ for a full refill is pocketchange if you go for cash runs.
I appreciate you sir
