Nadia really undertuned?
She feels awful to use, not being able to do any actions after putting down a drone dosent feel great at all and most of the time trying to spam mines so she can use her special weapon just isnt viable with how common it is that enemies run into them.

Her skillset feels a bit too extremely specialised and requires you to bring 2 powerful characters just to make up for her shortcomings which makes it very uninteresting to play.

I have gotten really good plays but those are very rare and requires enemies to actually agreeing to play nice so you can line up those big frags.

tldr; she leans into the "if you're already dominating the enemy this character will let you snowball even more" while it goes the opposite way when things get serious

Yhea, imo it's the worst character of the cast.
Gunbot is just awful, crushing many SYNC options and cool plays.
She seems completely unsynergistic with the other two members of the team.

The only viable option is the Iron Lizard, but as you said, it's the kind of character who needs to be build up to do something and have to obtain specific abilities and passives to work.
Nadia is the only character who can turn out in a clunky and barely unplayable mess if you don't have luck and can't go on the one or two specific builds.

The Snowball fashion is kind of fun, but again the game is most of the time pretty quick and Nadia doesn't have enough turns to shine out compare to other heroes.

From the 5-ish runs i had of using Nadia, I've performed my best with her as a pseudo melee/sync class, with mine spamming or bot spamming being the usual ending path of build. Since every time she sync attacks leads to a mine, having her be adjacent to anything triggers easy 4 Damage that can be repeated often. The skill of teleporting enemies near mines feels like a required skill for its one of the few skills that gives her Bonus actions.

Which is the biggest gripe i have with her. Having bonus moves/actions.

Where most classes just need a single passive unlock to have most of their skills grant a bonus (few even have it on base, like Marco or Trevor), Nadia needs like 3+ skills to have the same effect, with very few skills giving her any bonus (i think literally 2 active skills do). Higher difficulties demand as many actions to pull off in a single turn, but Nadia having to luck roll towards that mine teleport skill and 2+ passives to even get such luxury is very annoying.
Its also really strange that she has not a single mention on this forum until this post, maybe the devs think she is actually fine since no one has mention it?

Also i forgot to mention that your teammates can actually trigger the mines! Im not sure if they trigger when the mines are near an enemy bit havent detonated yet but more reason to never use her except once for a win to unlock Leona.

Either way i wished her character slot is replaced with someone else if things stay this way.

i did a thread about this not long ago, even to this day i think she's weak like super weak,

Explosive Duo is pretty solid for disruption and crowd control, and i personally found it effective against bosses too.

But yeah, i do agree that the gunbot it's just bad

Having the "Rush" weapon mod (Bonus Action when exactly 1 frag) on her Pulsar is a game-changer for her. Pair it with the "First Detonation" passive (mine drop on the first turn) for the 8-damage hits and you'll turn her into an excellent can-opener who can possibly go on indefinitely. She was my MVP during my last run because of this.

Other than that, her robot lizard is excellent for repositioning and a helpful extra hand for triggering TNT barrels on a group of enemies. Taser Mines paired with her warp skill is also excellent for shutting down a dangerous enemy and protecting your own units during enemy phases.

I actually like her a lot.

Nadia has turned to be one of my top 3 favorites because of her unusual playstyle causing some maddening plays. I've once cleared an entire map of 8+ full-HP enemies in a single turn (Lieutenant difficulty) by constantly triggering syncs with her, that in turn made mines, that with her "teleport enemy to mines" action, constantly dragged them to their doom. Her Overload loadout can even do some incredible damage with some choice Mods that can get her dishing damage nearly equal to Ralf/Leona.

She's also incredibly cute.

Sadly i find nadia the hardest to build and shes the cutest to me

Nadia is a very difficult and complex character to use, but she is the best character imo.

Gunbot is a trap. Iron Lizard is decent. Nadia is the best when built around mines. As long as she is near her mines, the bonuses she gets are near insane. Bonus action, bonus movement, +4 damage on overload weapons, can snipe enemies anywhere on the map with wormhole's ridiculous range, feedback loop makes mines a boss nuker.

Setting up mines is easy, the game revolves around sync attacks anyway. Nadia is all about map control, as long as she has teammates that can constantly feed her sync opportunities, she can end maps in 1 to 2 turns with both mission objectives. Not only is her turn 1 very, very good (especially with mine passives) but overload weapons make her early game very powerful whereas most other characters take a couple of regions to boast the same level of power.

I HATE that this is true because i can see the potential Gunbot can do, but it just DOESNT.

I was there during Day 1 to experience Gunbot's initial bug that it didnt take away Nadia's primary, essentially making it a free Sync machine enabler.
It was great! It allowed unprecedented range for Syncs that Nadia can pull off for allies that would normally be reserved for Special Weapons or Leona! When they patched this obvious bug, i was hoping it would instead now make Nadia fire her Special Weapons whilst Gunbot is active, being the one 1 of 2 characters that can use their special weapons on contributing Sync attacks (the other being Fio and her Active Buff)

Instead, nothing. She literally loses her sync attacks entirely because Gunbot has them. AND IT CAN ONLY TRIGGER SYNCS, NOT CONTRIBUTE TO THEM.

Gunbot is pretty much a worse Iron Lizard in every way, RANGE INCLUDED, because it leaves Nadia so neutered of her entire gimmick, sync attacks. If they at least allow the Gunbot to participate in ALL syncs instead of just triggering them, OR enforce Nadia to use Special Weapons to sync, itll be well worth the lose of the primary. But as of now, its super underwhelming.

(Based Asterigos pfp, tho)

She starts a bit weak, but her skills are very strong.
And people say gunbot is bad, but it acts very well as cannon fodder in a lot of situations, the only thing I hate about it is that you can't spawn it on different heights which makes it very hard to position correctly on most maps.

With the help of the thread, was able to finish the game on lieutenant difficulty (Fio-Nadia-Trevor). lizard level 1 was all i needed for this difficulty, the rest was mine focused and I used my shotgun for most of my damage.
After i got used to the mine mechanics and got used to my new team comp, the game got easy/manageable mid game and through the end.

Several interesting notes about her mechanics:
- Before reading this thread i too tried gunbot which was a waste of time and failed my run, maybe it can have good synergy with more practice, but there doesn't seem sense to make a more complicated and less fun build, it has low HP so if it does your set up for next turn sucks, and you don't want to invest any protects on it.

- the mines can't help with almost any boss as the bosses move every turn and never seem to trigger, some bosses like ship boss can never be hit at all it seems.

- feedback loop could not be used against jungle boss, I could target city boss though (only got it in time for 2 bosses) so i don't know how it is a boss killer as i could consistantly do 8 damage with my shotgun, with fio giving a flashback and having the +3 DMG weapon upgrade for cover, i could do 11-22 damage once every 2 turns on avg.

- mines are useless against convoys. however using her secondary weapon was what helped me kill the convoy on the 2nd turn (late game convoy at level 7-8)

- took me a moment to figure out that you only get bonus action/movement if you use warp next to a mine, otherwise it ends your turn.

- was kind of hard early on, but maybe because i'm also new to trevor and he's very situational.

- I don't know the best teamcomps with her, but playing with Fio and Trevor was odd, bosses took a long time, the lack of AOE that chars like Tarma or Eri offer makes the game more difficult. If anyone has suggestions to fun teamcomps to finish the game on highest difficulty let me know

I actually think Nadia is really good. You just have to maximize the value of her mines.

Whenever possible, have Nadia sync before spawning Gunbot, to get a shot(s) and a mine down before losing her primary. This is especially important if you have Dynamize or Energize. The enormous range with which you can place Gunbot should also result in it spawning a mine nearly 100% of the time.

In the main boss fights, Gunbot chump blocking enemies a turn is often the same as killing them, since they'll be outed by hazards anyway.

Finally, Gunbot living or dying isn't a dealbreaker. If it dies, you can sync, drop a mine at your feet, and spawn a bot without consuming action via Energize (also guaranteed on level 3 Gunbot). If it lives, Nadia is instead free to spawn Iron LIzards (which are amazing), or use her secondary. Self destructing the bot is also useful at times. The Overload loadout is nice for firing 8 damage lasers - 16 with Marco or Shelling bufff - giving her much needed boss damage.

She is really strong but not noob friendly, you have to understand game mechanics well so you can do awesome things with her. She is im my fav team with Ralf and Fio <3
Anyone else run into issues when they restart a turn? I just did a run after not playing since the end of last year and I'm still having the same troubles I did back then. After restarting a turn, sometimes mines disappear. Iron Lizard is also unable to use it's magnet move thing upon restarting turn.
