What exactly is a Frag?

The game doesn't seem to exactly explain what a "Frag" is, and doesn't appear to be a Keyword you can get a description on. Is it just this games term for "kill" or is there a more specific requirement for something to be counted as a frag? I've had maps where the number of units killed was higher than the number of frags so I had a feeling its something more specific than just the number of kills.

Just in case anyone comes here later looking. I can say for certain a frag is not just a regular kill. Still haven't found a definitive answer, but shot an email to Dotemu on the off chance they'll clarify.

What makes you say that with certainty? In my testing a frag is a kill.

This is not a bug, don't pilot the vehicles with the character you want to score the kills, otherwise the objectives will be baby ez mode to achieve...

30 year olds could've been playing on pc since they were 8(2002) and never play quake. the general space of games and terms that are mainstream/big and most gamers understand is a changing thing. fortnite is way bigger than quake and we both barely know a thing about it.
