Here's the problem with roguelikes...
They aren't fun. Sorry

What are you sorry for? Your opinion isn't gospel. Don't like it? Simple solution, don't play it you have a plethora of options in life. Clearly many people do love roguelikes which is pretty evident by the massive sales most of them pull in. It's funny, you'd have hated growing up in the 70s-80s when most games were just simply built like "Roguelikes" in general. I remember playing Pitfall as a kid to death when the concept of "roguelike" was just a video game. You played it and you either beat it or you didn't and the next time you turned on that Atari you tried again. I remember when Megaman came along and introduced the formula to set essentially save points by providing a code you would enter to resume where you were.

Throws up mindless hate speech while refusing to explain him/herself XD.

Do you really have nothing better to do with your time?

If the grindloop is good, then it's alright.

The problem is that most of these games makes you grind for hours and hours to get a negligible stat increase or some useless perk.

Not a Rogue-like; it has unlockable meta progression.

It happened to me with Nocturnal. It was so frustrating doing 10 minutes long runs to being killed by the first boss because of bad RGN and not getting any upgrades. I hate that game. On the other hand, indie games like Undermine do roguelike much better.

I'm with OP. I'm usually not a fan of roguelike/roguelites.

Phew, good thing you don't have to play it. Dodged a bullet there.

Problem is we already have bunch of them.

Imo roguelikes are a proof devs are uninspired and lazy.
