About the demo
Not the funniest game, didn't enjoy the demo that much. The tutorial was horrible, feels like a phone game with gacha mechanics

Of course, it feels like all those asian videogames released for play on a mobile platform (phone) where they usually are free or cheap and they include a high ammount of content available for purchase, usually just cosmetic, but sometimes they offer boosts, stats, resources and currency in some packs or loose even. They also include huge walltext as tutorials, where they don't let you deviate for a second (Like this game's tutorial) on a fabricated scenario. They also often include unlockable rewards behind redundant content (like get 3 stars on this tutorial mission to get 1 extra dust resource or whatever). Some examples of these game with a similar feeling are Genshin Impact, Honkai 3rd, Last day on Earth, RAID, Battlecraft, Full Metal Alchemist mobile, Wind fantasy: Destiny, Dungeon SLayer SRPG, Phobies, Anullus and many more, but you get the point

PS: Before someone comes saying, they are not the same genre or that this game does not have SPECIFIC POINT in it. This game has a similar FEELING to all those games listed, thus generating an unpleasant response when being played (Which I won't do) Feel free to play whatever you want, I just gave my opinion (Opinions do not need to be asked for, they are given willingly)

Thank you for expanding, I appreciate it.

I've got the demo downloaded but haven't played it just yet.

When you say "they include a high ammount of content available for purchase", just so I'm clear: Are you saying there are microtransactions/paid-for content in the demo?

That would make this a huuuuuge nope for me if so.

I just dont understand your feelings about the game here.

Their is no microtransactions or paid-for inside and newer will.

If I read your explanations correctly, the game look like an asian gacha because of objectives unlocks and rewards ?
So in this case every single roguelites games are comparable to phone games ?
Again, this is your opinion and I am not trying to argue with you here.
Maybe you do not like rogue games and that's perfectly find.

To be clear for others, in my opinion, this game, in their structure is a TRPG with rogue mechanics comparable to Into The Breach.
Their is no micro transaction, farm or wathever.

Yeah, when I see the map, it looks like another tactics game from years ago (I can't remember the name) with nearly same pixel art style & rogue-lite elements. At least, that game has free to shoot from any angle like most xcom clone & easier to understand cover mechanic than this Metal Slug.

I don't know Into the Breach is rogue-lite TBS. Many people said it's like puzzle games. I tried & didn't like it.

I was trying to remember why I removed this from my wishlist. Thanks for the reminder!

The cover mechanic is really annoying. I don't like game where an enemy is invulnerable because it occupies the square behind a wall and is flanked by my units. I'd rather it be more puzzle rather than an xcom lite clone.

Dont play trash gacha games and you wont be hallucinatory paranoid and base your nonsense feelings on absolute nothing, gaslighting other people along the way, thats my opinion willingly given
