Tin ore

In current version of the game does other tiles spawn tin than plains/lake tiles?

Tin can be found at water sides (all lake world pieces).

I can't mine the tin ore even though I already have the pickaxe (2nd level). What do I need for mining?

Do you mean that it is second pickaxe you have been able to build? You need pickaxe whose gear level is LVL2 or higher (it may have been third or fourth in order if i remember correctly)

It's the 3rd pickaxe you got (Primitive Axe -> Pickaxe -> Enhanced Pickaxe), which required an existing 2nd pickaxe, Hard Antler (from deer, or "antler rabbit"), and 2 Beewax

I've got two Level 2 pickaxes, heaps of hard antler and heaps of beeswax but still can't craft the enhanced (3rd level)? Do I have to do something to unlock the blueprint?

Use the anvil to make tin tools.

I would if I could work out how to mine the tin. I can't seem to upgrade my pick from "Pickaxe" to "Enhanced Pickaxe". I think I've got everything (2 x pickaxe, heaps of antler and heaps of honeycomb).

Old thread but... for anyone else wondering how this works: to get the recipe for crafting the enhanced pickaxe, it's not enough to place a tanner, you have have to actually craft a rope at the tanner.
