How to bring cows back to Bessle's farm

I can't did it.If i leave a little far,the cows will turn around,and when I walked through the fence gate ,they will turn too.

You have to walk slowly and take breaks sometimes, so the cows can catch up with you and won't get too far away.

Thank you for the advice,but when i cross the fence gate,the cows also will turn back.I try about 5 mins,I still didn't succeed and I gave up. TwT

Yeah, I have the same issue. I tried exit to menu/reload save, I tried exit to desktop/restart game/reload save. They still won't even get near the farm's open sign gate for me. They move into the tile until about the farmhouse door, then no matter what I do, how much I dance in front of their noses and slowly I "inch" forward, they always start to turn back.

Oh...if they're actually going through that gate, try taking the boots off before going back out of it again?

If it's like me tho and they won't go into the main farm/fenced area, then yeah...seems glitched. :/

Ok, I ink-deleted both the farmer's home and the wheat field/cow tiles and put them down again - I also rotated them differently when placing, but don't know if that was necessary - and it worked that time. It was still a bit twitchy getting them to follow, but they crossed thru the gate and quest completed.

it took me a whoops 20 minutes to bring those 2 cows across 8 map blocks - (in the meantime) you have to keep your character moving around cow with very close distance and chase any cow which stop following you.

My advice - build the cow's quest zone ( Basil's Grainfield ) next to where the Basil's farm at ( The Invaded Ranch ) or at the very least, as close as possible, to minimize the pain.

I finally completed this mission.I originally kept the cow tiles on the side away from the mission place.So I reverse to the position of the two place.Place the tiles in a block near the mission place.This time I succeeded,the cow easily followed me through the fence gate.

Just to say, originally I had the cow tile directly adjacent to the farm house tile. The two gates/openings were even facing each other. When the cows reached a certain spot they would sorta jitter a bit like they wanted to move forward, but didn't, then would turn and walk back etc.

The 2nd time I put the cow tile one tile over and walked them about one tile-lengths worth of distance. Both of them at once, I didn't have to do one at a time.

I think it was just glitched and deleting/replacing reset the tiles and cow AI in some way, or whatever.

It looks like something like invisible wall on the border, I've noticed that they would change their path finding when you move to the other tile. There're long invisible walls and invisible "gate" somewhere on their tile where they can get through. Weird bug for sure.

Yes.There must be some problems, but when you encounter it, you can try to change the tile position, which may succeed.

This quest is broken. I can get one cow out of the wheat field and to the farm. The other cow moves across the wheat field but will not follow, especially if it contacts the wolf cub. I can't progress in the game because of this quest. This quest is SO needlessly frustrating and needs to be fixed asap.

Finally got this to work! The cows (so far for me) always spawn in the wheat field. When you place the farm tile, make sure the entrance to the farm yard is placed facing a vacant tile. When you unlock the wheat field, place it so that the entrance/exit to the field faces the entrance to the farm. Walk SUPER slowly and the dang cows will follow you into the farm yard.

Take the cows to where the broken fence you fixed was. Around the backside of the farm, on the outside of the fence. Worked for me.
