Can be circumvented by save+reload which respawns the nodes..
What is given first is more of the farmer's tiles - corn and wheat fields, that also have a couple clay spots each.
After you finish the quest line is the key statement here. You need clay to finish the quest line that will give you access to more clay spawn points than those 2 on quest farm.. It is dependency hell in form of a quest :D
Yeah, that seems like poor design.
Sometimes I can delete a tile and replace it back and things respawn. Sometimes I do that and they don't. And so on.I don't really understand it.
At any rate, when you only have the farmer's house tile, you just have to keep fast travelling or reloading the game to try to get the spots to respawn faster to get what you need initially, if the respawn seems borked in your session.
EDIT: Got copper as a.. random drop in a barrel somewhere. I am pretty sure this is not the way to progress the game, just pray to RNG?
