Yeah, those are exactly the ones that tell me my pickaxe is too weak to break. And I have only two recipes, a "Primitive PIckaxe" and a "Pickaxe", and I've made the latter one twice now and neither one works on those.
So where do I find more story? In the prologue version, I found the survivor's camp, found the cart wreck they were looking for, and was told that was the end of the prologue. Now I'm in the main game and the only quest I have is to make a tanning bench - which requires a level two Workbench, which is what requires tin - and they no longer talk to me nor is there anyone else around to interact with.
When you are in the workbench menu, on the left side it will say the tiers of workbench you have unlocked (in white/grey text). Make sure you are clicked on "Workbench Tier 2"
The level two workbench doesn't require tin. It's the level three workbench that requires tin.
Thank you all for the answers!
