Bow String?

How do you make a bow string? I have a fletching table and the only thing missing for a short bow is the bow string, but I cant find it anywhere on my various crafting stations

Good question maybe is recipe that need to unlock seperately or some oversight

it comes in one of the missions well I got a bow string from the hunter dude

Can't get any interaction pop up at his place, maybe will have to start a new game then.

he's inside the Lumberjack Cabin, you get a bow string after you deliver a package for him

Yah figured it out now, just thought he was gonna give bowstring for the quest or mission and not after. Since I thought you were gonna fight something tough that needed box with the huge bones, which didn't seem to be the case. But thank you.

Reviving a long dead thread, but it is the first on the search.

The bow string appears on the front porch of the hunters cabin after you finish his quest, and he gives you the one to make the bow. Because of the angles it is easy to miss.
