Controls
To me the lack of it in a game this focused on it is kind of bad. Like not being able to independently select each limb as you choose is kind of annoying. I get having a verson setup how it is now. For a easier control scheme. But it really feels like there need to be separate modes to the controls. Like use the D-Pad to go into your inventory and all the controls for that. And then go back into climbing mode. where RB and LB are you hands and RT and LT are you feet.

Also having a visual indicator of which one is selected might be helpful for some people who could get a little lost on what is going on.

The auto reaching is also something that caused a few problems for me. And would be something I'd personally like to control. Sometimes it feels like you can't reach for a foothold or hand hold when you should be able to. And then other times it feel like it tries to when you really don't want it to.

To me the only thing that makes sense controller scheme wise. Is to be able to click in the right stick to switch between a free camera and reaching in whatever direction you want to.

The only other thing is the auto placement of your hand and foot holds can feel off. Which I think being able to pull yourself up manually would help a bit with that.

You can select limbs in settings.

Visual indicators and colours should be a setting for easy mode if they were to do it. The visual indicators are your limbs shaking like irl.

I see a few people struggling with controls but it’s really not a thing for me personally. On Xbox controller - X to climb and if you don’t want the limb it’s selected you just hit X again to put the limb back down. If you make a mistake hit B.

That is without the limb selection noted in settings you can turn on then hold RB to select if that’s what you’d prefer.
Oh they do. I just tried what's in the menu. That version is kind of a bad version of what I'd want though. It's harder than the system in the game. I feel like the "limb highlight" they have should be the default and then you could turn that off or have a more prominent version of it.

What they have isn't horrible. But it seems odd to have this style of movement and then not go the all the way to compete independent limb movement. And just have a automatic system. When they went that far with the rest of it.

I hear you. I think re limb selection it is a bit immersion breaking to have a pop up prompt for which one to select. Maybe the limb selection could be that you scroll through with analog stick and she lifts the limb slightly to indicate which she’s going to move.
